Heard HCI imposed on its IP students MSG of 2.5 and below (ie average 67.5) to be able to take 4H2. Is this true whereas it’s free for all for JAE students. Does RI impose similar requirements?

For DS, it was simply because he doesn’t know which subject he would do worst because his weakest subject changes each semester.
Thks all for the sharing on uni admission pt.
From the UAS scoring. , I read above
The 4th H2 or H1 full pls is capped at 10,
May o know why Some Alevel kids want to take 4 H2 n not 3H2 +H1 , I thought lesser load in content n more time for other subject , take Economics as example to compare H2vs H1. -

RGS GPA need to be 3.2 in order to choose 4 H2.

Not sure how it applied to JAE students. If anyone knows for JAE students for choosing subjects, please advise here. Thanks in advance. -
Saw this fr online RI Site A level curriculum
Raw L1R5 - 11 or below - to offer 4H2
All who go in usually is raw 9 or below right?

I would think that it’s usually a case of JCs dissuading weaker students from taking 4H2s, rather than insisting that some students take 4H2s if they prefer to take 3. And as someone pointed out earlier, students can choose, or may be advised, to drop a subject to H1 even if they started off with 4 H2s.

Ok.thanks GPA3.2 is above 65 so about the same as HCI. I am trying to make my gal.take 4H2 but I see no benefits if not applying for scholarship or coveted courses like med or law.

And that's all you really need to calculate your UAS. The one other benefit for taking 4 H2s even if you're not aiming for scholarships or med/law (aside from stretching yourself etc) is that you have an insurance in the 4th subject because you don't know which one you might do worse at during the exams. With 4 H2s, you drop the lowest scoring one to H1. With 3 H2s you must do well in those 3. Of course if you know clearly which subject is your weakest, and prefer to take 3 H2s, then just take the 4th one as an H1 from the start.

H3 can’t be used to compute UAS.
As mentioned, if you have it, you will have added advantage when applying for very competitive courses.
Some scholarships even require H3 like A*Star. -

You can always take first, drop (one) later.

However, you can’t take three first, and try to add (one) later.
Other than the top, top scholarships, you don’t need 4H2 to apply for the rest. You can definitely get a PSC scholarship with 3H2.
