Have they given you any reason to believe they may be doing something you don't approve of? Would you be able to assess just by talking to them? I never felt the need to check my kids' phones, but we would talk about what they read/saw, and they would sometimes voluntarily show me stuff on their phones. Of course, they could have been hiding stuff from me, but I hope not. Both haven't given us any cause for concern (they are already past their teens).
Fellow parents, do you check your teen's HP and also their social media accounts? I feel such a stalker sometimes like I dont trust my kids. But I rather be safe than sorry. At least if anything, I can identify and highlight early. -
I believe in building a good relationship with kids, yet with order of respect as their parents. I do respect my kidz’ privacy & if they keep their distance or keep things fr me, I search my heart where I can make improvements to maintain a good balance of trust & respect. S’times we’ve to get in tune with our kids why they wld want not to share what’s going on with their lives. Was there a misunderstanding that I will meddle? Why do they fear losing their privacy? Hv I not taught them well to discern right fr wrong that they must hide in fear of judgement and they’ve to do things behind my back & go underground?
