How do I registered my daughter to get her under the phase for SBF? What must I do and where to I go to get more information? I read through the forum and I got more information about Hokkien Huay Kuan but barely any about SBF. I moved in recently but according to calculation is less than 30 months. It is less than 1km from my place so I don't think I can register under 2C.

Register under 2C, then stay there for 30months. Not the other way round. You are eligible for 2C.

Are you looking for SBF members or MBS alumni?

Can't comment on SBF members as this is usually not widely discussed among existing parents. So I am really clueless on the SBF piece.

For MBS alumni, you might want to check with the person processing the membership on potential contacts. I don't recall it to be a big hurdle when I joined 16 years ago. They are in fact encouraging ex-students (so I am encouraging my kids to do so) to join hence my impression is, there should be a fairly big pool of alumni members. if you still need, you can PM me.

Hi, new parents here whom will be moving in to the new BTO beside the school. I know this topic has been briefly discussed a few times in this thread from 2012 to 2016; but would like to know if there are any newer experiences. Basically we’re christians and would like to confirm few of the things discussed: Non-buddhist (1.) Students are not required to pray/bow down for religious purposes | (2.) Students can be excluded from the class during buddhist studies.

Also, are there recent christian parents who have enrolled in and what are your views on it? And if not, what would you suggest on the alternatives? I’m not much concerned as I believe it can be agreed it is a good school and I believe education is important, but my wife has concerns over the religion aspect of it.
Appreciate any insights and thanks in advance!
