I rmbr the US residents were upset abt airport scanners compromising the human anatomy to the naked eye. I’ve not seen the thermal scanners at the airports. Will only likely pass it next week when I fly. Anyone hv insights to share?

Still can use to rub hands so long there is no itch or allergy . My work place one . I afraid the shine of wood furniture may be affected ?

For matte laminate/veneer, I will squirt directly onto wet cloth, clean and follow-up quickly with clear water.

For glossy/lacquer surface, I will add to water before cleaning and again follow-up quickly with clear water.

Can use to clean bathroom tiles if they are not stone (marble, granite, etc).

Think can also use for washing curtains.

Yah, cleaning bathroom , sinks, toilet bowls are gd idea
Just pour or squirt direct , no need dilute with water

The Taiwan authorities have issued the following health measures for the public:
1) Wear a mask
2) Wash your hands with soap
3) Avoid crowded places
4) Avoid uncooked meat
5) See a doctor if you have been to China and are feeling unwell within 14 days

For me, Dr Vasoo, Dr Leong Hoe Nam (in private practice not subj to politicians control) as well as many public doctors who publicly gave advices that there is no community spread in Singapore & unless u are ill or elderly and vulnerable with existing chronic diseases grp , do not need face masks except practice good hygiene & treat yr face sacred by not touching it. Frequent washing with water as it breaks down the cells of these viruses.

In fact, Taiwan authorities just announced today the limitation of each person to the purchase of 2 surgical mask per 7 days, at 6000+ specific pharmacies (price fixed at 5 TWD each). One of their epidemic experts also advised that only those with low immunity, contracted influenza, making visits to places like the hospital need to put on masks.

During global shortage, it makes sense to prioritise healthcare workers and the vulnerable.

That is however different from saying that healthy individuals will not benefit from wearing a mask in this situation, especially when asymptomatic transmission is possible and there is enough information on the modes of transmission to know that masks offer one more layer of protection.
It would have been better to call a spade a spade, and tell the healthy majority to be extra vigilant in hygiene and practice social distancing where possible. But since it is not possible in the MRT trains and buses, I guess they decided to not open themselves up for barbs thrown their way when they travel in private cars.

can I check, 1 disposable mask can stretch for few days usage or not, if need to? say go crowded places wear then reached home keep properly and reuse? virus can die after half an hr to an hour ?..precious commodity la.

Keep it dry lor, wet must chg.
U can avoid crowded place for time being right?if can Drive , no need take public transport
I m not going into wet market at peak hour etc
Those with underlying medical conditions, respiratory allergies, asthmatic need to be careful n wear masks to avoid getting sick.
How abt students?most Kids n ours are also on public transport too! I really hope by now, most people should b social responsible n care abt one another if one is not considerate, may get “retribution “ one leh :nailbite: :scared:

Thankfully most of our families had just done a comprehensive Springcleaning 2 weeks ago, so my furniture, bedsheets, floors, toilets are very clean. And also thankfully I’ve always been quite a germaphobe, so my family members must abide by my rules to always change out of their outside clothes immediately upon stepping into the house, must wash their feet and hands immediately upon reaching home like the Japanese and must wash hair daily. I also always maintain a mini stockpile of masks (from lowest grade beauty salon type to black charcoal masks to surgical masks to Air+ masks to highest grade 3M N95 masks), hand sanitizers, antibacterial hand wipes, few types of thermometers, hot-cold packs, adhesive cool pads, surgical gloves, plastic gloves, medicines and multivits.
