Some RC/NC will put you back to observer first before confirming you as EM again since they are not familiar with you thus resulting in not getting 2 years of continuous service. As I always say, it is not a given that the new GRO you are shifting to, will accept you with open arms since the dynamics of each GRO is different. -

I have seen my fair share of GRLs, some want to serve, some want power, some want to be in the limelight, some just want a free meal. So what is important varies with each individual.
Being a Community leader is a tough job. You should compose yourself and you should always think about what's good for everybody. You should always weigh things to know which are more important. -

Second, the RC/NC chairman will be consulted to whether u will be given EM or observer. As I said before, some RC/NC do not have enough members, so any tom,dick or harry say want to join, they will welcome u. While my RC have full EM membership, and packed to the brim with observers waiting to convert, some waited as long as 1.5 years before getting converted to EM.

For my case, I have one Vice Chairman from another GRC who come over to join us. My chairman say to him, need him to become observer first, see his performance first before giving him EM and appointment and he wait 6mths before becoming EM. So even though PA give out the title but every GRO is different. Unless u got very powerful connection, things might be different. If u think u can waltz into any RC/NC and say I want to join u, they will give u EM straight away, think again. -
Further to add on. EM is not lifetime membership, it is subjected to renewal every 2 years.
