Mei sewed some 3-ply face masks for the family. Resolves the dilemma of whether to wear a mask every time we step out of the house especially when we can wash and reuse them. Keep the professionally made ones for use in crowded places. But remember, there's no substitute for good hygiene.

Let's continue to keep those infected and those working on the frontline in our thoughts and prayers. Let's be on our best and cooperate with the authorities. We'll get through this.

Some light coming thro after more than a month of tense.

Looking fwd to Tues Parliament’s package to help businesses. Seems that households will be getting sth to defray costs to cope with COVID-19.

Reports also coming thro fr China the speed of COVID-19 infection cases reducing.

We witness the earnest swift work of XJP & LKQ in locking down several cities, mobilizing resources & it’s clamping down on their ppl fr moving ard w/o masks when in errands, etc. I hope this same leadership will hv strong will to ban wild life consumption. In fact, they shld learn to protect WL & not abuse them. I wonder if there are other govt stepping in to support & help bz sustain themselves till this crisis blows over? I’m sure HK will not pull resources to help taxi drivers, hotels, restaurants or other service sectors affected.

Praying for quick recovery for those under treatment & relief in numbers burdening Wuhan’s medical resources. Praying for health safety for all Singaporeans.

Along with their BCPs, Singaporeans should also prepare homes, offices and public transport to do with less or no aircon. Unfortunately, too many of our spaces are designed with the assumption that we will always have aircon, and that we will never need fresh air (except through the aircon system). One redundancy we should have is to be able to have open windows and higher temperatures, and still function. It won't work for some places like underground tunnels and clean rooms, or where low temperatures are necessary, but for times like this, it would be good to be able to open windows and use fans instead, at least for part of each day. That would be a way to reduce the lifespan and spread of this virus which thrives in cooler, dryer environments. Although not so comfortable, we should embrace our hot and humid climate, and get used to it again.
