Long kept in Enclosed space seem to be easily spread of virus
Tat should explain church service, close contact for 1to 2 hrs, if shake hands, heLding each other, eating communion in big grp etc

I m also puzzled abt the no links cases, maybe some are too “ confidential “ n “ sensitive to make public ?. But a few cases no links, had been to JB / msia. Am worried as there are so many commuters in n out daily across , virus easily spreading back n forth ... but neighbour case report number seem Low 🤷 🤷 🤷

Yes. Problem is confined space esp no sunlight or UV rays. I believe that’s what happened on Diamond Princess - the narrow passageways, lift buttons, dining areas, staircase & railings, etc. Going in & out of cabins to dining areas for meals & more shocked to hear no temperature taken nor tests done for passages on board. Japan shld hv disembark passengers & quarantine in any available spaces guarded fr local spread till 14 days is over to minimize spread.

Some churches alr conducting additional services to cater for alternate seatings, after directing visitors to main entry point for temperature taking & issuing of tags & seat numbers for contact tracing. No hand-shake. For a number of years since SARS, individual communion cups with separate sealed biscuits hv been in used. No need for re-washing of communion cups with these disposables. Once a visitor hv a temperature at entry point, they’ll be issued a masks & accompanied to nearest doc. All ushers & those serving in music ministry need to sanitize all equipments & sound system. Some ushers positioned at lift area with gloves to help press buttons, hence relieving others fr touching. Precautions. Even vehicles to ferry elderlies are sanitized every trip. Everybody chip in.

No idea how other countries categorizes, segregate or count their numbers accurately as possible. DH surprised Indonesia, Mynmar or Laos so “clean”. Thankful our MOH & govt support public to seek treatment at much reduced cost, so to actively suss out if those infected & provide official MCs for stay-home.

My BIL was busy & stressed for a few nights of wakes for SIL’s dad who passed on fr cancer. He felt tired & sore throat, so when FIL wanted to pay respect at wake, he abstained fr going near esp with his chronic kidney issues. This is in case he came into contact & may be a carrier which will pose a danger to his father. The rest of us helped out.

Thankful increasing numbers of those infected are being discharged. Pray that those with pre-existing conditions well nurses to full recovery. 🙏

But how the churches screen those infected but asymptomatic? They don't have fever but can spread the virus.

Seems like our situation is under control. Less new cases. Yesterday, saw queue again for Shi Li Fang steam boat at Hougang 1. Compared to the previous week where there were vacant tables during dinner time. Hope things go back to normal soon.

@ ngl2010 Guess like every place w/o medical testing kits, we won’t know.

To err on cautious side, of someone hv fever, best not to appear in church, school or anywhere, but head for doc. In church, we’re told to rest if hv fever & they’ll give a mask & send anyone with fever home anyway. Learning to trust is impt too.

After that rest for recovery, but if further signs such as breathlessness, then hv to return to same doc (don’t doc hop coz it’ll cutoff original doc fr noticing any further clues to the original fever). So far, i only know hospital can check if one has been infected by COVID-19.

Oh, ngl2010 Realised u meant asymptomatic. No idea how to capture this that might give us the slip. Guess that’s why contact tracing is impt.

Surprised to see that the 30-39yo age group has the greatest number of infected carriers. I have the impression that the very old or the very young whose immune systems are not very strong will be the first to fall sick. Staying more than 20mins inside enclosed aircon office environment is the other cause? :scratchhead:

These few days I also notice more cases are without known links. I wonder why is that so? During the initial period, the links to the earlier confirmed cases were traced very fast, either published at the same day the cases were reported or within 1-2 days later. But I am still waiting for the updates on the linkages for the recent cases. Since MOH is not really trained in contact tracing, I can understand, but CID should be the expert?

Same thinking as my hub, regarding those without known links having been to JB/Msia. Based on the fact that Msia didn’t close their borders with China, and their business links with China, their figures seem too low.

Ya lor, contract tracing appears to have broken down recently. Imagine 3 Grab/taxi drivers already contracted the virus. Hopefully those with no known contact didn’t get it from MRT or bus, lol. Recently I watched Taiwanese news, they even said dollar notes could even contain the Covid-19 virus too. So remember never touch our Mouth - Eyes - Nose (MEN) without washing hands first.

South Korean supermarkets wiped out after sudden spike in Covid-19 cases to 602. They were even advised to wear masks when staying indoors. Monkey see monkey do, bet they learnt from us.
