This only targets at those who've been given a 5-day MC, as well as those under SHN. But no one will ever breach this law because the Gov.sg website already says:
For Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and Long-Term Visit Pass holders, you may contact the People’s Association (PA) at 63448222. PA will assist you to make the necessary arrangements with the nearest Public Health Preparedness Clinic (PHPC) or GP clinic, or to arrange for a house call by a GP (for those with mobility issues).
The former had already used up the free mask when he made his 1st trip to the GP to get that 5-day MC! :slapshead:
As for the ones from US or UK, they might not have any masks with them now, unless the quarantine hotel provides/sells them 1 mask, or PA brings 1 mask to them to wear to the PHPC. :roll:
For the earlier batch of overseas returnees who are not staying in quarantine hotels, they can also contact PA for help. Anw, I feel that this group of SHN people should don a mask everyday in their own house.
The people who should really wear a mask are the LOA guys.
There will be a big bunch of people under LOA (for travelling to ASEAN, ANZ, etc. during the Mar hols) who are starting to appear in schools and workplaces this week, like TODAY. They should also find a mask to wear for at least 1 more week. Some of their siblings went on overseas biz trips to Europe. Some of their live-in grandparents went to ASEAN. Some of them went to ASEAN themselves to visit their grandparents.
We've already seen quite a few Msian WP holders being tested positive after they‘d crossed over from JB: 2 mail-packers from SingPost and an NCID porter. -

Any parents have received instructions for HBL? What will it be consist of? Will there be live streaming of lessons?
Our school has not shared the details.
But kid brought home some hard copy Chinese worksheets. Teacher told them to date it 1 April 2020 & don’t do yet cos that’s their “home” work to do on Wednesday.
We are supposed to receive the official instructions from the various subject teachers via Parent Gateway, soon I think. Or on Wed itself.
Don’t stress yourself so much. Won’t die if don’t hand up on time. Sure can get extension if u have various reasons can’t do.
Possibly for the P5/P6, the teachers may go beyond their duty and do live conferencing, but I doubt so at this point. They are all scrambling with this last-min notice. -

If you have friends or neighbors or working with at risks kids or know of anyone who are low income family with school going children & have challenges with getting a computer & broadband at home, please share this scheme with them.
They will be able to get a fairly decent laptop & 3 year internet service for a nominal fee. If that fee is still not affordable, they have the option to do community service instead of paying the money. -

Just saw this heartening update. It's close to 2 months since the boy's father was diagnosed and hospitalized. Really hope he can pull through.

Hope the Blangadeshi worker recover. Not easy for him with so many pre-existing conditions. This newborn shld be a new hope for him to fight & be strong!

30 min “offline” homework (the hard copy worksheets that the kid brought home).
30 min “online” homework, login to SLS.
Other subjects, if any assignments, will be posted on SLS/Parents Gateway after 8am tomorrow.
Don’t need to all rush to login at 8am. Just login whenever the kid wakes up, after leisurely breakfast etc. Own time own target. Cannot complete won’t die. -
Please take note that home-based learning for primary schools will start from tomorrow (Wednesday April 1) and every Wednesday thereafter.
To address concerns of parents, the MOE has compiled a kit to explain how home-based learning will work, and how parents can support their children's learning during this period.
The Parent Kit will be sent to parents through the Parents Gateway, a digital platform to get updates from schools and the ministry.

We have received (via PG) the daily “plan“ for tmr’s HBL. It seems quite straightforward to follow. There’s another HBL on 8 April 2020 according to MOE.
Since you are taking leave for the first day, I think for P5 it is reasonable for u to watch them login on their own, and attempt the online assignments on their own.
Maybe u can alternate (take turns) for your 2 kids. Eg when one is using computer, the other do the hard copy homework or do assessment book. Get them into this routine. Break to rest their eyes.
Then they can stick to the same routine at student care. If student care don’t have computer, then maybe they bring own laptop, but be wary of theft.
