My HK friend asked me one question which stumbled me, whether the HK kids should 留级 or what with so many months of lessons missed. I really have no answer to that!

me too , worries went off alot after the hotel quarantine thingy..now more on local transmission I guess..if getting worse, I feel close down will help to cut it off maybe 🤷

yes, i m stress too abt how bad or or easy is local transmission on public touch n go places....
After protesting on the streets for 6 mths, what is 3 mths of sch closure for HK youth?

Besides they have been on thru train for quite many yrs, so they only need to bother with the pre-U entrance exams DSE which is going to start on 24 Apr, i.e. 4 days after sch reopens on 20 Apr.

The pre-U kids had their DSE Oral exam (Eng and CL) recently.

The P6 sec-sch placement exam is not that critical as they have a few routes: central allocation (CA) and discretionary placements (DP). Their CA has 2 big grps: those in unrestricted schs with no feeder sec schs and no ''thru-train'' sec sch partners; vs those restricted schs with feeder sch/thru train partners.

China Gao Kao is postponed till Jul 2020.

HK has 800+ cases because they do not provide quarantine hotels to house returnees from the UK, US, etc. Do bear in mind there are a lot of HK sec and pre-U studying in the UK boarding schs as well as many in Canada and Oz, compared to Singapore. Carrie Lam thinks the hotels have carpets and so on, so not suitable as quarantine facilities, bla3. The returnees were all swabbed at the convention centre beside the HKIA. The returnees went out to char can ting to eat with the wristbands. The expats who do not wear masks continued to go to Lan Kwai Fong.

So for private tutors, now also can’t go to h’hold conduct 1-1 tuition.

                  http://www.heyhi.sg
if the private tutor wants to explore online teaching.

They can get online demo by booking a slot on http://www.heyhi.sg/heyhidemo

Or use Zoom/ Hangouts / or any other video conferencing tools and use HeyHi Whiteboard.

I will avoid signing new packages (facial, foot relax, etc.). Maybe in a month or so, these shops may shut down cos cannot afford to pay rental due to poor business!
