Nope.
Same goes for Best Denki, Gain City, Harvey Norman etc.

What happens if the refrigerator breaks down or kettle need replacement?

Can try FairPrice Xtra NEX. They do sell lots of electronic goods like rice cooker, kettle, TV, fridge (I think)
Or Giant Hypermart such as the one in Tampines.

Note: Won’t guarantee that they will be providing delivery service though.

          @Sun, maybe get/ borrow a foldable table.
@coolkids, can heat up water in the microwave oven. If your fridge is on its last leg, consider getting a new one ASAP or have a cooler box on standby just in case.

This is a critical juncture for our nation, let’s do all we can to help break the chain of transmission. Everything else is secondary.
          Thanks thanks.
Will your condo management office open? Mine not.

Btw, long queue at CPF. Why ar?

Ppl paranoid want to know how much they hv in CPF acct? Some ppl taking this one-month to note down all their assets; some ppl consolidating assets in case of uneventful for family members to reach out to or allocation time? So go Q for printouts or clarifications?

There are some with legitimate worries. Particularly those who hv lost their jobs & still need to finance mortgages thro CPF, etc. Kind of led me to reflection & thots of some of my Professor frds & those financially stable & with empathetic hearts who will not take the Solidarity sum given to them but release it back for helping those who wld approach govt for help as this crisis persists.

Altho there are those who fear for their bz losses (no bz, rent still running, wages still hv yo be paid, etc) and probably highly geared & need to sell off properties & assets. Need to check CPF A/c to see how to re-distribute assets/liabilities. Some high spirit ones looking at mkt want to own that dream house despite this dire outbreak. Check how much can they tap on for property purchases to own sth but may not realize his job is dangling. Cheez!

Like I just rec’d a call fr Citibank mktg to advice me how to maximize my credit card. Then UOB called to inform special rates promotion. Told them both off that during this crisis, these are not essentials. My families needs are top priority. Cheez! Maybe I was shortfused coz getting angst abt circuit breaker kicking in. Haiz!

So, your guess is as good as mine lah. There are indeed strange thoughts flying ard in panic.

The first that came into my mind is CPF nomination. My friend said her will and estate planner got many customers recently. Mine already settled but 2 days ago I gave instructions to DH what to do if I die because of covid (no need funeral and what to do with my ashes).
Checking of CPF balance, and also CPF nomination can all be done via CPF app (need SingPass). We did the nomination earlier this year. Very efficient. They will send email immediately to your 2 witnesses and they just need to log in to confirm. Simple.

Hope the bill tomorrow don’t give blanket rights to all industrial property owners to defer rent. While biz may be bad for tenants, what about property owners who still need to service loans? Unless If tenants can’t pay rental, owners can also defer on loan and interest payment...
I think only fair if just passing savings from prop tax etc to tenants..

                Hi parents

I have got a question pertaining to children taking school bus transport . With the HBL starting from April 8 to at least until May 4, in your opinion, are we required to pay school bus operator for the HBL period?

SINGAPORE: Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 will suspend operations for 18 months from May 1, as the COVID-19 outbreak continues to impact the aviation sector, Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan announced in Parliament on Monday (Apr 6).

Airlines currently operating at the 30-year-old terminal will be relocated to the airport’s other three terminals, Mr Khaw said. Singapore Airlines will consolidate its operations at Terminal 3.

am not sure but if go by logic of paying 12 mths or prorate the holiday month to school day month..think likely need to pay? unless bus operators can get rebates from govt then got chance to ask them pass over the savings?

Yes, it is fair for owners to pass property tax savings to tenants. But seems like they are suggesting that tenants can ask for monthly rental to be deferred for say up to a year? Hopefully there must be some criteria to assess if tenants really cannot afford to pay the rent before such requests can be made. Else imagine the fix the owners are in.. on one hand, no rental but on the other hand still need to service bank loan.
