I did think of calling the police but was afraid that I might be viewed as making a mountain out of a mole hill. Didn't want to mention race in case I am viewed a racist. I am open and exchange greetings with the adults. My DS1 didn't like it when I greeted them. Wonder why he so unfriendly or racist?
You can try calling 999 but won’t be high priority.tutormum\" post_id=\"1970586\" time=\"1586423434\" user_id=\"12573:
Does anyone know who should I contact to report those who don't observe the CB? Yesterday, a group of boys was playing soccer at the void deck. Now they are playing outside the corridor to their flat and there are a large group of people in it by the look of the number of shoes outside. These children play at the playground and void deck almost every day. They are creating a din when they kick the ball against the wall. How to live with this for a month? :stupid: :stupid:
Let me share a recent experience. Past midnight one day, one group of Indian Nationals were ragging another Indian near our place, on the open field. More than 10 of them involved which contravened the circuit breaker rules. The group tied up the “victim” and the rest took turns to pour different containers of liquids and white powdery stuff over his head. :torchme:
DH called the police to have them issue a warning to this group. We waited and waited until 12.30am and by then I was so tired that I asked hubby to give the police another call to ask them not to come down. The police receiving the call replied, “OK, thanks!” :slapshead: My goodness!
Kampong Java NPC is only 5 mins away and they could not despatch resources to attend to my call after 30 mins? This is not my first negative experience, I made a police report in August 2019, and for more than half a year, no news was heard from them until I made a big hoo ha then they apologized as the IO forgot to inform me of the outcome of their investigation.
The immediate neighbour has moved out last December and was part of the gang. Occasionally some of the women would pop by and I was fine with it. What I could not stand is the din created by the children who are rather rowdy at times.

I read that all the sports stadiums will be closed. Maybe the National Stadium (and the other sport stadiums too) can be used to space out the FWs?

Looks like Kenneth Mak has found out it could be Mustafa Centre! When MOM asked employers to dissuade helpers to take their day-off, they didn't ask dorm operators to keep the MWs in their dorms?
What could possibly be the commonality? Where did the respective Patients Zero of each dormitory work at before they fell ill? It's odd that so many dorms have outbreak within the same week. Previously, it was just the Seletar Aerospace construction site with 5 cases.
......
It cannot just be sparked off by poor sanitation in the dorms. Patients Zero got it working in the community, but where? Little India?
Our govt asked returnees to SHN, citizens to LOA/SHN, but allow migrant workers to go to Mustafa Centre on weekends. No ambassadors in March to remind them to maintain social distancing in Little India?
How could our 4G be so careless? MOM cannot delegate foreign dorm welfare matters to Migrant Workers' Centre, an NGO under the union and employers federation. If this is not negligence on MOM's part, tell me what it should be.
I think MOM should NOT be led by a female minister. MOM needs a STRONG MAN with military background to run it the military way ASAP!
Women typically do not like to mingle with migrant workers in rough environments. It is not convenient for a lady to enter occupied dorms to look at their living conditions. Have you seen our MOM minister attend any International Migrant Workers' Day to celebrate the occasion?
I remember BG Tan Chuan-jin used to take foreign workers' welfare very seriously. He even raided some dorms with MOM officers, but of course that is beyond the minister's call of duty.
I am so glad \"old bird\" RAdm Teo Chee Hean has been roped in to save the asses of those 4G! Glad that Ng Eng Hen is also deploying his MOs. I'm so depressed that our army camps have been occupied by foreign citizens. They are for sons of Singapore, yes, our army boys who cannot even take hp pics of their bunks because it's a secured area. Yet, we now allow foreigners to sleep inside our Republic of Singapore army camps because of some screw-ups and oversight of MOM. What a let down. 军营给外国人睡?真是国家的悲哀!:skeptical: :faint:
I think it could be 100,000-150000, not 20,000, we're looking at eventually. Stadiums, indoor stadiums, open fields to build field hospitals. With some over 1k active cases, I wonder where the rest of the so called \"stable active cases\" have been sleeping, as there are only 124 NEP beds in NCID. Normal isolation wards will not pump their dirty air out thru HEPA filter/sanitize UV light.
I feel sorry for our HWCs. I hope the extra 1000 former HWCs can lend some relief to our tired nurses, docs and technicians.
I feel disappointed that the bulk of PPE in our national stockpile squirrelled by our prudent govt has to be used up to treat foreign nationals.
I feel sad that our govt has to foot the bill of 3 meals/day for isolated foreign workers because some dorm operators were so slack in their upkeep.
Nonetheless, I'm quite happy with MOE, MEWR, MTI, MOF, MFA, MHA and MINDEF. -

now hv to be real careful that there is no ‘out’ from dorms and there is no spread in camps. -

There are still quite a few unlinked cases in the general community. The potential of spread from them is large too. The fear is that some will disregard that while pointing fingers at the large no. of cases from the migrant worker dorms.

Agree. It’s too easy to point fingers at the FW, but forget many unlinked cases might still behave like SAFRA grp. Must adv community aunties & uncles to stay home.
