Poor FWs are not eligible for Govt masks. Could things have turned out differently had they been given masks?
The FWs in dorms are being given masks now, better late than never. There are NGOs and charities giving masks and other items to FWs who are not living in dorms.

But they set the bar so high that I think only the really pro people can volunteer. One said 200 masks by end of the month; another said 300 masks within 10 days! I can probably do 1 a day, and my skill level is not great. My family will use them, but I dare not offer to others.

yes I saw the min requirement set at high bar.. I haven't even got 1 mask out yet as I didn't manage to get the accessories for diy mask..only have thread and cloth.

I think due to urgency and you need someone to brief, to deliver materials etc ba..so cant afford the manpower used on lower efficiency volunteers ?

I guess shops that sell sewing materials are considered non-essential! Because I do some odds and ends of sewing and mending, I usually have basic sewing materials at home. I'm just using fabric from my stash, and I had a couple of packs of elastic. Now that the instruction is to wear masks on public transport, I will make a few more for my girls as they will be out and about more once the circuit breaker period is over. One is supposed to start an internship (though date hasn't been fixed), and the other will be trying to get a job or volunteer for something.

We are not using the reusable masks the govt gave. Is there a way we can donate them to FWs?

Can you donate to me, pls?

Sure. Can pm me your address?
