Do you feel extremely warm and humid during the past few nights? I hv not been able to sleep well under the ceiling fan.
I've had the fan on through the night too. I normally set it to switch off after an hour (standing fan), but have left in on the last few nights.

My family has worked out a rhythm - I cook 6 dinners and 3 lunches, and they take care of the rest. Breakfast is DIY - no change. I am also responsible for keeping the kitchen stocked - that is also unchanged, except the quantities have to increase as now they are all at home every day. They mostly buy from the nearby hawkers centre or order in. I'm unfussy - as long as I don't have to decide, I'll eat whatever they get!

It can be daunting if it lands on you all of a sudden. I became a full-time SAHM more than 20 yrs ago, and haven't worked full-time since. So I'm used to cooking almost all dinners already. It's the lunches that are more of a headache as my husband needs a proper meal, and because of his dietary restrictions, it has to be mostly Chinese-style noodles/rice, and a decent-sized portion. If it were just the girls, they would be OK with sandwiches, and they would make them themselves.

My family is quite OK with simple meals. They don't make special requests, and they will eat anything I serve. Our dinners are just 1 dish (meat + veg together) and rice, so it's easy enough. I just stock up on enough portions of meat/fish and a variety of veg and fruit to see us through several days, and have a reserve of cans or frozen processed food for emergencies. I don't plan meals - I just open the fridge, see what needs to be eaten first, and that's dinner!

How’s everyone coping with this CB?

I think the ones who really feel it the most are those with young kids who will need more attention.

One good thing that came out of this circuit breaker thing is the additional options for fresh produce deliveries.

For my household, chores are being divided. I am in charge of everything related to food and provisions plus the garden. DS has been tasked to magic mop the house daily, dd to mop on alternate days. They change their own beddings and wash their own toilets. For laundry, I will put them to wash and each will clear our own cleaned laundry. DH does the dishes most of the time after dinner. So far things have been manageable.

I cook almost every meal. Only DS eats breakfast and his breakfast is rather simple. The rest of us are doing IF so our 1st meal will be lunch. For meals that I do not cook, we either order in or DH will tabao.

my side like slmkhoo's no plan for meals..but recently I asked dd1 not to cook coz I realised dd2's meals have become not proper liao as she is fussy on food. today dd1 still cook her noodle for half way through hbl and as dd2 has 6 slices of jam sandwiches..I took the longest nap for today..so just cooked the meat patties (alot of leftover from the other day meat dumpling filling) and broccoli..

I was feeling rather lousy yesterday..today's nap was real helpful, when I got up both dds still doing hbl and suddenly I felt much comfort seeing dd2..in between she asked me how to spell certain words and I roughly remember in my nap she told me that she was doing some research..at start of this morning I was with her for less than 10mins seeing her using one finger to type, haha so cute de.. must take more naps, when body/mind not so tired can see more good things 😂 just started eating lunch in front of tv now after insisted to finish her work first..and my workstation is now back to me.. think most kids should be enjoying hbl period 😂

I don't really plan ahead what to cook for each day's meal. I will just open the freezer and the fridge and stare at what I have in there then pull out is needed for a meal. Sometimes it is base on my mood, most times it is base on what needs to be used up before it expires or goes bad. 😓
