my side like slmkhoo's no plan for meals..but recently I asked dd1 not to cook coz I realised dd2's meals have become not proper liao as she is fussy on food. today dd1 still cook her noodle for half way through hbl and as dd2 has 6 slices of jam sandwiches..I took the longest nap for today..so just cooked the meat patties (alot of leftover from the other day meat dumpling filling) and broccoli..

I was feeling rather lousy yesterday..today's nap was real helpful, when I got up both dds still doing hbl and suddenly I felt much comfort seeing dd2..in between she asked me how to spell certain words and I roughly remember in my nap she told me that she was doing some research..at start of this morning I was with her for less than 10mins seeing her using one finger to type, haha so cute de.. must take more naps, when body/mind not so tired can see more good things 😂 just started eating lunch in front of tv now after insisted to finish her work first..and my workstation is now back to me.. think most kids should be enjoying hbl period 😂
Lunch in front of TV at almost 4pm? :yikes:

It’s always good to hv a pet to fuss over their physical, mental & emotional health as it’s same same for our needs. I’ve yet to convince DH.

My apology; I look at the beautiful fur and immediately think is a lady.
                Ok, a handsome man now.

yeah..hbl means sleeping, meal time all upside down..actually during school days their meal time also like like..most days home at about 4pm, washed up and meal usually at 4+.. usually 1 meal and snacking all the way to bed time. at least school days, breakfast, recess, food after school hour kinda fixed.

Weekends, sometimes I do feel like preparing food like buffet style..cooked and leave food in thermal pots for warming..

We use this CB period for kids to plan & do up meals. I don’t want to see them glued to HBL on screen in replacement of physical interaction. So, we do meals together just to draw them away fr the screen (laptop, hp & TV screens). Trying to rope in DH to learn some recipes but he has yet to start with excuses of WFH even busier than at office.

                      Some typical lunches :
                      1. Mee Sua with spinach, minced pork, fried taugua, fried Ikan bilis
                      2. Jap green noodles with chives dumplings, eggs, seaweed & Jap shrimps
                      3. Fried rice
                      4. Fried beenhoon
                      5. Hongkong noodles with shrimps dumplings & caixin
                      6. Spaghetti Bolognese or Carbonara

Now stock up more baking ingredients for tarts, cheesecakes mochi or just muffins. After this CB, I’ll hv less worries if ever I can’t cook for them.

                      Dinners are cooked 三/四 菜一汤.

For my family, dh and dd are at home. I cook only a meal per day. When I work morning shift, I will do the dinner. When I work afternoon shift, I will do the lunch.
I hv to settle the meals of hamsters too.

                        I miss my morning swim.
talking about swimming, dd2 missing it too..she only had about 2 times since CNY..
