Is it normal for students to stay after school at the library or go somewhere to have study sessions with friends?

How are the teachers attitudes towards teaching and the students?
      Are there biased teachers?

          See my answer below.

No, different subjects. Tests are based on topics you learned in class.

Stress depends on how you manage.

Yes. You can study however you like.

Teachers are mostly dedicated and willing to help. Many of them are also very knowledgeable and passionate in their fields of study (a lot of them have a Master's degree or even PhD). Just like in every other school, there are biased teachers.

No streaming, but there is subject-based banding. Please check the NUS High website for more info. This page is a good start: https://www.nushigh.edu.sg/studying-at-nus-high/the-nus-high-diploma

Teachers are human as with the teachers in other schools. What seems to be different is a teacher will definitely be very passionate about what they teach to the kids here in a specialised schools - the humanes teachers are most willing to share and impart . The math/science teachers are probably very motivated when the kids are self learners.
The kids seem to carry on discussions with the teachers even after official lessons have ended.
It could be due to the low student-teacher ratio so the teachers have more bandwidth to explore further. The kids are used to requesting for one on one sessions to clarify their understanding or if they have missed a lesson due to competitions/interviews.
It is not uncommon for the teachers to hold PhDs/Masters ... I was told they are happy to stay Long term in Nushigh as they can teach motivated students while carrying on their research as NUS affiliates .. some prefer this over the university teaching route without the associated publishing pressures in academia.

The school has done a couple of YouTube Videos teacher profiles - an example here

                NUS High Virtual Open House

                15 May 2020

NUSHigh is a 100pc DSA admission school.

There is a e-brochure on the school website under \"Open House\", so do check in and take a look at that.

I would also commend watching the School's YouTube channel to get a first feel of the NUSH, the NUSHie culture, and its very unique curriculum. http://www.youtube.com/c/nushighschoolofmathandscience

The School and its Students Council is also very active on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/nushigh.lights AND http://www.instragram.com/nush.sc

and finally, do subscribe to the NUS High School Admissions Telegram App for more information at https://t.me/nushighschool.

Thank you :salute: :salute:[/quote]This was shared with me first hand by a Head of Department during an Open House some years ago. See also the teacher application links from the school . I find it useful due diligence in trying to gauge their selection process for their unique ecosystem. 😊
