Mine was under old syllabus. If I am not wrong, it is by Helen Lee.

I remember seeing upper block & lower block as well as Ultimate PSLE Science Guide. But these are wrapped so I can’t see what’s inside. You can ask Popular to open up and you choose according to your preference.

I might get the EPH with CD one if there is promotion. This is the one lower & upper block. Coz my son (now P2) likes to learn from computer. His school is not subscribing to LEAD. Though I know I can subscribe personally, I like to have hard copy of CD itself.

One of my favourite assessment book is by Renee Chong (Science Companion). I realise it has guide book from EPH website.

Another good one is Marshall Cavendish (orange colour, got eagle picture on its cover), it is like 10 yr series, where past yr’s PSLE questions are there.

I would go get it since got the 20% voucher.

yesterday I went Popular to take a look at the various guide books.

My copy at home is Helen Lee (1 book as in P3, 1 book P4 etc). Now the so call lower block, upper block, I roughly see the contents are the same, just arrange lower block 1 book, upper block 1 book.

The PSLE Ultimate guide is emphasizing the important points. As the name suggests, it is something like summarising.

So for normal study, the lower / upper block serves the purpose. For revision for PSLE, get the Ultimate guide.

Because I have the old version of Helen Lee, when my son reaches P5, I will get the Ultimate guide.

In short, both guides are good.

                Hi carol

I have the upper block ultimate guide but not the psle ultimate guide.I noticed that the upper block ultimate has no concept application that can be found in psle ultimate guide.Wonder is there a need to buy the psle ultimate guide when I also have mc the orange guide book.thanks

Is there one guide that summarise all the keypoints?thanks

Why don’t you go to Popular and compare your upper block ultimate guide & MC with PSLE ultimate guide?

I don’t have MC guide. My MC was past PSLE questions. In fact I had 2 coz I wanted to sieve out the 2008 questions.

Actually sch booklist for P5 & P6 mentioned MC guide but I didn’t buy.

I feel that MC guide is = lower + upper block. Just that MC is recommended by sch.

Yesterday I went to Expo Popular Fair. My goodness, queue 2.5 hr to pay!

I bought Science Alive CD @$19.90 each. Earlier on, I mentioned on line purchase is $11. It is the old version and it doesn’t come with CD cover, just plastic.

                      Hi Mummies,

I was recommended this title ‘Everything you need to know about Science’ by Patricia Chan-Dendroff. But I don’t find that it follows the school syllabus.
