If u fainted at the odds for MGPS, I dunno how you’d handle the odds for SNGS.

I think SNGS is quite underrated, everyone hyped about SCGS, MGS but this is also a very good school. Any idea why its not as widely discussed? Whats so good about SNGS can anyone share? Thanks

It’s not so much underrated, it’s just way too hard to get in! Year after year, there’s only the bare minimum 20 seats for 2B and 2C. The brave applicants who are willing to try are more times that number. So your odds are seriously low. But then this is true for several SAP schools all over the country.

SNGS has a very strong collaborative sisterly culture. The unofficial motto is 姐妹同心. Sisters (and everyone in school is considered a sister) help each other because they are “of one heart”. Versus the more individualistic + English-speaking culture of SCGS, and the help our church help society + extremely English-speaking culture of MGS.

It depends on which environment you prefer your girl to spend 10 years of her formative life in. Do note that academic standards are extremely high, including for Chinese language. If your girl is not brilliant in her studies since kindergarten, she’ll probably suffer in SNGS.

Yes agree SNGS is extremely hard to get in. More than 10 years ago, I engaged the VP extensively for a chance to be PV. They requested us to move to within 1km even before P1 to allow us to be volunteer. S&P agreement with condo in construction is not good enough. Anyway we didn’t try the sch eventually as the balloting ratio is too unfavourable.
