That's great news. Welcome to NTU.
My son has gone for the NTU Biological Sciences MMI interview yesterday and got offered the course after some brainstorming sessions.
He was notified of the offering and a gentle reminder that he was still on NTU Medicine waitlist. One good thing about this is that he will still get to decide if he wants to persue Medicine at Duke-Nus after graduating from NTU Biological Sciences. If he is fortunate to be offered medicine after the waitlist then it will take precedence over the earlier course offered. At least such arrangement is of much consolation for all the hard work and efforts.
-

Thanks Desmond! I guess you are right, can't have the best of both worlds. Will have to make a decision in due course.HVR\" post_id=\"1975945\" time=\"1589510497\" user_id=\"32808:
Hi! HVR, kindly refer to the advise I have offered to Chenies in this early chats. Your Scholarship matter is similar to Chenies.Hi need some advise. My dd is in a similar situation as Chenies' dd. She has secured a place at a UK uni to read law and now pending scholarship outcome in June before deciding to study overseas or locally at LKC. She does have the option with NUS law and would consider it too if manage to secure the scholarship. However, since the scholarship outcome is only in June, she does not wish to risk it and forgo LKC by selecting NUS law before the acceptance due date on 24 May. She would rather study medicine if no scholarship. In any case, the scholarship would not be sponsoring the study of medicine.
My question is after 24 May, should she secure the scholarship, is there any way that she can appeal to read law at NUS?
The problems you have is here. At times you can't have the best of both worlds - NUS Law and NTU LKCsoM. You can only decide on either one. Both Law and Medicine are very competitive and both universities don't allow you to apply for transfer of course from NUS Law to NTU Medicine or vice versa. Transfer to a different university is allowed with valid reasons only for non competitive courses and pending approval by the university you want to transfer to. You still have to take holistic interviews and may be accessment test for some courses prior their acceptance.
You can contact their admissions dept to double check in lieu of my advice.
-

Wow congrats your DD must be brilliant! I do feel that Cambridge is a once in a lifetime opportunity and she should go for it as the exposure there and getting to experience how the NHS runs would be an eye opening experience. The current pandemic might worry parents like you, but I do believe that it will pass and that the experience to study at Cambridge will be worth it.

Hi if DD got offer for NTU LKC Med but got waitlisted by NUS YLL Med. Assuming she accepts NTU Med and the NUS waitlist moves, will she still be able to go NUS Med? Thank you!
