Thanks hiya! Ds is required to buy the math book but he's not in the APEX class. Ds was told 3A is APEX. 3B is 'very good class'.
It used to be 1 APEX- Maths & 1 APEX- Languages class. Next year P5 and below are classes A & B. P6 classes still E (languages) & F (maths) classes. I asked a form teacher last year, they actually mixed the students in the 2 APEX classes now, except the coming P6 students... Now there is a lack of strong bonding unlike last time.. where the students are classmates for 4 consecutive years from P3 to P6.

Anyway, APEX classes doesnt guarantee the best form/subject teachers. 1 of the APEX class has the worst teacher i ever met in Wellington pri. I praying i wont get that teacher again for the rest of my child's school years in Wellington.

I am thinking of registering my child (p1 in 2021). Seeing that there are bad teachers is a little worrying. Anyone feedback to the principal before? E principal came from admiralty pri which is a very good school in Woodlands. I hope he do something abt these lemon teachers.

Sorry if i didn’t explain well enough. The teachers mostly are very caring and responsive whenever i post questions on the student. Unfortunately this form teacher did not response well to my questions. Eg: my child didn’t came home right after school one day due to stay back for some activity which I totally forgotten. I msg the form teacher for help on class dojo and she didn’t reply till the next day. Lucky I managed to seek help from other subject teacher (which i happen to have her contact too) and they helped me to find my child and informed me on the activity.

Some form teachers always kept the teachers updated on the sch exams dates, send reminders on special dates (Sports day/early dismissal) or shared photos actively with parents on whatapps or classdojo. Well this teacher don’t post anything. So I will say very lack of communication btwn this teacher and parents. You can only rely on the parents gateway app or sch website for information.

There are really some very good teachers. Very supportive… even though she doesn’t teach my child science, when I asked her some science questions (external worksheets), she still explained to my child. Some P6 teachers came back on sat to gave extra practices or oral training to any students who wish to learn more, or even help to explain/solve questions that the students asked.

                      Hello,

I would like to know any of the parents here with kids at Wellington Primary? How’s the school environment and acedemically wise? How’s the teacher and overall of school? Thinking of enrolling my son.
                      Thank you so much.
