I agreed that they want to spread talents across different industries. Do not want all top brains in medicine and law.

The selection process is influenced by government policies.

            Hi! Kibblesmoke,
Hv your DD gotten the outcome yet?
Your DD should be getting hers soon. My son wait was over just last week, I believed the remaining few in this coming wait-lists outcome should be final. All the best!

I would rather look at it positively as sharing information among parents šŸ™‚

Desmond, did your son get an offer from Duke NUS with a direct pathway to their medical pgm? My girl said her friend took the NTU-Duke-NUS medicine pathway and rejected Imperial & UCL. Another girl took the SUTD- Duke-NUS special track.

                  Hi! Proud mum,
My son did not succeed in \"Leaping Over The Dragon's Gate\" after the arduous journey vying for NUS and NTU Medicine.

Duke-NUS takes in post-graduate students from Sciences and also the Arts streams. Sciences will obtain the MD and Arts the PhD.

My son will only matriculate in year 2022. He will be studying Biomedical Sciences and BioBusiness at NTU. He will still have time to sort out whether to take up post-graduate study for medicine or a career path in the Biomedical Industries after getting his double major (Hons). Probably most of the SBS students will continue to take up their post-graduate study for an MD for better and wider prospects in their career paths.

Hi Desmond, my DS hasn't heard from NTU, but will definitely update you all here when he does. Thank you, hoping for the best too šŸ™‚

                        Hi Desmond,
From your earlier post info, has your DS accepted Biomedical Sciences and BioBusiness in NTU while still in waitlist from NTU Medicine?
I got info from my DD few years back, she applied NUS medicine and went through interview, after long waiting, she was finally offered the Second choice course other than Medicine, it imply she was no longer in NUS Medicine waitlist.
