so have to weigh the possibility of my son having no school to go, this is not for the faint hearted
it will NEVER end up with no school, just that it may be not of your choice -
Just curious…since Singaporeans are given 2 chances to ballot…based on history…is that going to be useful at all for balloting at NYPS? Useless if most applicants are Singaporeans anyway…

our fault! we had wanted to send him to my husband's old sch and hadn't thought much about nyps. So we didn't think of doing pv. And i have 2 boys, so no worries about no place for the non-existent daughter. Statistically speaking, nyps is a better school, whether or not it is suitable for my son, I can't really tell at this point.since you stay so near to nyps, you should have applied for parent volunteer at nyps to get yourself into phase 2B
but anyway, SJI Jnr is still good
my son is born in 2004. -

Cursing MOE? Well, it's only fair that one child should only be registered with one school at any point in time, right?

this is the first, and i foresee more curses to come...hahahahah! -

When registration comes, you will hear or experience more frustrations.
Actually, you are lucky that you have a good school to fall back on (SJI). So far, we have not witnessed as balloting in P2A. Hence, the place in SJI is as good as confirmed for your boy.
Not everyone has this luck, though. -

I agree but i really don't know very much abt sji. And i hope everything works out for the best no matter which sch he ends up with. Not much of a gambler, may just stay on with sji and put up with driving up and down. When registration comes, you will hear or experience more frustrations.

Hi Jessnom,
Like what qms mentioned, I would go for SJI if I were you...at least you know it's confirmed getting in. Phase 2B or 2C is a scary phase where nothing is guaranteed.
SJI has affiliated secondary school...all the more you should register there. :celebrate: -

Hi janet_lee88, the affliated sec sch part is not really true. If i'm not wrong, there's only a 3points difference. So still have to work v hard.Hi Jessnom,

cut off point for SJI sec is not as high as some other affiliated sec schools .... lol
what if SJI goes IP as proposed ? cut off point to go up ?
any way, I think SJI Jnr is a safer option
