Hi, completed clueless and see if anyone can help to advice.
We are thinking of relocating to southern part of Singapore, my son will be P5 and daughter P2 next year in 2021. Both of us wanted a change of environment and it more convenient to my husband work place.
We intended to either sell our current private property and buy another one, or rent the current out and we will rent.
We are exploring the neighborhood nearby Radin mas primary, is the half way transfer difficult? What’s the procedure like, and so far how is the school doing well? Any other school possible to recommend to me too.
What we need to start or prepare now?
We couldn’t get my son to the school of our choice, when we intended to put him in years ago during the balloting despite we are within 1Km. So in the end we give up the idea of the primary school of our choice and let my daughter also followed him into his current primary school. we feel he could be doing even better academically, if we had him in a better and more motivated environment (primary school) He is currently in the top class in his current primary, his results so far okay.
Hopefully the relocation might help to get him into a better primary school as next 2 years is important to prepare him for PSLE. -
What are the chances of getting in phase 2C for distance 1-2km for SC? Was balloted out from phase 2A2, really disappointed

No point crying over spilled milk. Just look for the next alternative. -

It was mentioned that there are 12 people (staying 1-2km) balloting for 3 seats in Phase 2A2; hence it’s not easy to get in. For Phase 2C, have to try other school that is within 1km to have better chance.

no chance at all for phase 2C for SC 1-2km. It has always been balloting 0-1km for SC, not to mention the vacancies this year at P2C is super low, 21 this year vs 52 last year in 2019.

Actually at this point, Day 3 of P2C, vacancies of 21 vs 74 applicants –> 28% balloting chance (assuming everyone is within 1km), it makes little sense for a girl to ballot for P2C at Radin Mas, CHIJ Kellock would make a way better choice –> confirm seat + affiliation. No potential heartache at P2CS.

agree, even CHIJ (Kellock) also almost taken up. better hurry

CHIJ Kellock would definitely be a better choice if one has only girls, no boys. If number 2, 3 or 4 is a boy, may as well stick with balloting in Radin Mas and pick Cantonment or GES in Phase 2CS, or revisit this nightmare again in a few years time.
