The TUR till 2A2 is about 45% now, yup abit low. But with no guarantee of knowing the stats through online application, it is not wise to go >2km, unless you call up the school every hour and they are willing to share the stats with you.

Most of the time ballot 1-2km, >2km very risky since this year only online applications. Suggest you find a backup.
Thank you for the breakdown. We do have another school that we are looking at. We are pretty surprised that 2a2 in sajs is low this year as compared to history. And that got us thinking.. Most probably will have to wait till Phase 2B again for the numbers.

Would like to have some opinions of our chances as we are >2km from these 2 schools. Which is a better option for us without balloting? We are SC.
Results of 2B at SGPS was 32 & will have 78 vacancies in 2C. Has increased in applicants compared to average years.
Results for 2B at SAJS was 44 & will have 88 vacancies in 2C. Seems to have a decrease in applicants this year..
Thank you. -

Huge applicants number will only deter some parents, but most stubborn parents will find excuse to stay put. They will think, nah, the applicants might be from 1-2km or >2km or PR. Hopefully schools will call in advance for parents to have a 2nd consideration and reality check. I have been in this Bermuda Triangle and it is a mystery when it comes to real voyage.[/quote]Yes, I am such an ACS aspirant parent. Come hell or highwater, even with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio (or even 1:10 ratio), I will still apply for ACSJ and hope. I acquired this property itself for ACSJ, so just stay put and pray lor.
Not everyone is doing it blindly. buffer in SJIJ is less than the flow over from ACSJ. it will be very close for SJIJ, those 1-2km folks need to watch very closely as if balloting need for <1km, they got push out without any chance. It is actually quite common for parents to move around.Lexy\" post_id=\"1988259\" time=\"1595976415\" user_id=\"12180:

I think otherwise. Since this year no visibility of distance, many would still try ACSJ/ACSP blindly, and that leaves SJIJ open for 1-2km chances. Let’s see.
Having said that, how people react to applicants numbers differ individually, huge applicants number will make people think twice.
If i don't get, then it was meant to be. I have a 2CS choice (albeit a far inferior one and tough one to swallow).
Based on being in the ACSJ and P chats this year, I see many parents are the same. Going to be bloodshed and lots of unhappy parents this year -

Plan well ahead in years, but numbers don't look quite favorable just a few days of registration, what to do. Know your risk and play along. -
I heard many such aspirants put downpayment at the launch of Kopar at Newton.
Do they qualify for this year’s registration? Or only next year onwards? -

Got agents loitering outside the school during dismissal time & passing out the flyers, telling parents that they could arrange for personalized showflat viewings (before the CB lockdown). After that I think moved to virtual showflat & signings.

I was thinking they should target the preschools instead. Parents with boys already in the school don’t need the address mah. -
