The ratio of the number of girls to the number of boys on board the plane was 3:2. After another 26 girls and 26 boys boarded the plane at the transit stop, the ratio became 5:3. How many boy ands girls were there on the plane in the end?

Explanation and solutions:https://owlsensei.com/2020/08/06/p5-math-ratio-constant-difference/

Hi, Your question has a problem.
Girls : Boys
3 : 2
After adding the same number of 26 -->
Girls : Boys
5 : 3
considering girls were more than boys at first, it is impossible to increase 2u (from 3 to 5) with the same incremental...

Should be a typo. \"alighted\" instead of \"boarded\" (in the link provided by the poster).
:goodpost: Thanks for checking it out!

A few more days to PSLE Oral (13 or 14 Aug).

Here’s a few pointers that I went through with my DS for Stimulus-based Conversation:-

1)\tSmile, speak confidently and maintain eye contact with examiner.
2)\tThink of possible questions, ideas and responses from the picture stimulus.
3)\tListen carefully to the questions asked. Seek clarification with the examiner when in doubt, e.g., “Could you please repeat your question?”
4)\tSpeak in standard English (no Singlish). Use a wide range of vocabulary accurately.
5)\tTreat it as a conversation. Share real-life personal experiences. Elaborate on your responses and support them with reasons and examples.

Do not forget to greet the examiners before you start and remember to thank them at the end.

All the best to your DD/ DS!

Tom and Jerry had a number of cards in the ratio 3:8. Jerry and Mike had a number of cards in the ratio 2:1. If they had a total of 300 cards altogether, how many cards does Jerry have?

When my DS took his PSLE Oral a few years ago, he said that many of his friends were so nervous that they were sweating even though they were in an air-conditioned waiting area. Thankfully, the teacher noticed their nervousness and told them some jokes to help soothe their nerves.

Do remind your kids not to be over anxious. Stay calm and confident!

All the best to their PSLE Oral! :rahrah:
