Me! I'm considering between GMPS, Cedar Primary and St Andrew's. GMPS seems to have less CCA accomplishments than Cedar Primary, however it has Christian roots which is a pro for me. CCA accomplishments do help to provide a clue as to how motivated the teachers are and how they help push their students towards excellence. Not that I want my child to be a CCA-achiever. I just feel that it provides more insights into the teachers' culture.
Any parent considering to register their child for year 2021?
St Andrew's is a consideration for us but I have a girl and a boy. After I get my boy into SAJ and can't get into PV for PLMGS how?
Anyone able to provide any insights/advice? -
Any feedback on Cedar Primary School? Seems like not many parents/students shared their journey with the School. As P1 registration is around the corner, I am seriously considering the School. Thanks.

Both schools are about the same but Cedar has more CCA choices. If you aim for sports for DSA, Cedar may be a better choice.

When it comes down to schools available in 2CS, it's more or less comparable, else it would be snap up in 2C. Just visit them and see which feels good.

I don’t think you can find this info anywhere. MOE has stopped schools from publishing their academic results.

At the most, you can only find some schools indicate how many percentage of graduates are (A + A*) lumped altogether.
Here is Cedar’s old 2008 academic results:

: Your child's interests (Each school has its own programmes and co-curricular activities. You should consider your child’s interests in sports, arts or music and pick a suitable school that will develop their strengths.) - In terms of that, I would say most 6 year old children will not have a clear sense of what their interest lies in, so choose a school with more choices, which is Cedar Primary School.
: Travel time and distance to school (Selecting a school near your home saves you time and travel costs. A shorter commute lets your child rest better and have more time and energy to focus on other interests.) - So, do choose a school that is nearer to your house
: School culture (Visit the school’s open house to get a sense of the school’s culture and learning environment. You can also talk to the current students, teachers and principal to learn more about the school.) - Choose a school with an environment that your son will find enjoying.
: Academic ranking ( I know that this is not really a factor some parents will take into consideration when choosing a primary school) - In terms of academic excellence, Xinghua Primary school ranks higher.
I hope this helps!😜 -
