Although ACSJ is my preferred choice cos it’s within walking distance, Seems like my chance would be higher in SJIJ. But SJIJ is in another GRC, even though it is within 1km. So if I rent a place to be in the same GRC as SJIJ which is within 1Km to SJIJ, and assuming I get successful in SJIJ, can I shift back to my place, after securing a place, which is in TG PAGAR GRC and still within 1Km from SJIJ?

I suggest you go for ACSJ in 2B, not every year balloting is so bad for <1km. And if unsuccessful, go for SJIJ in 2C, most years don’t need to ballot for <1km, even if need to ballot, chances are very high.

I’m sure you will regret for not trying for your 1st choice since it’s within reach.

Since ACSJ is the most convenient and top choice, and chances are quite good, it’s a waste not to try at 2B, and you still have good chance for SJIJ at 2C. I’m sure you will regret for not trying for your 1st choice since it’s within reach.[/quote]You are right! You are indeed the Grandmaster!

Lastly, may I ask if I ballot under 2C, however I did not get the school. What will be the next outcome? Can I choose other schools and will I know by then which schools still have vacancies?

Yes you are late for 2B, be it GRL, PV or Church/Clan. If 2C fail, next will be 2CS.

We are under bukit timah GRC and based on my understanding, ACSJ and SJIJ are not under Bukit-Timah GRC. You may also check which GRC your house belongs to and choose the school in the same GRC if you were to go by GRL/NC path. Based on my experience, i frankly told them upfront my objectives and asked them to guide me which path/route should I go. They are nice enough to understand and guide along even assist to convert the observing phase to member quickly even during covid time. Good luck!

I second what skii said, some RC are very strict, they remove you once you shift house, so even if you serve 2 years in your previous estate, you might find that you are not eligible for 2B endorsement.

every RC has a limit for EM.
if you don't stay there, there is no reason to keep your place instead of promoting an observer.

You can’t get into CCMC (If you can get into CCMC, you won’t be asking).

For your case, you should be on the look out for NC.
