My son will be registering for P1 in 2024. So I’m planning ahead for it.
Assuming that I can get into CCMC by 2021 in eg Holland Bukit Timah GRC, this means I can get the letter for phase 2B registration in the GRC I reside in right?

My place is in golden triangle in Newton, so within 1Km to ACS junior, ACS primary and SJIJ.
If I am reading the balloting history correctly, for ACS Junior, in phase 2B, there is balloting even for 1km SC. Although ACSJ is my preferred choice cos it’s within walking distance, Seems like my chance would be higher in SJIJ. But SJIJ is in another GRC, even though it is within 1km. So if I rent a place to be in the same GRC as SJIJ which is within 1Km to SJIJ, and assuming I get successful in SJIJ, can I shift back to my place, after securing a place, which is in TG PAGAR GRC and still within 1Km from SJIJ?

We are under bukit timah GRC and based on my understanding, ACSJ and SJIJ are not under Bukit-Timah GRC. You may also check which GRC your house belongs to and choose the school in the same GRC if you were to go by GRL/NC path. Based on my experience, i frankly told them upfront my objectives and asked them to guide me which path/route should I go. They are nice enough to understand and guide along even assist to convert the observing phase to member quickly even during covid time. Good luck!

Thanks. I have seen the CCMC letter which allows for application outside of the GRC that one serves in. Or is that decision made by the chairman too?

1-2km. This year P2B requires balloting for >2km. I wonder where to find the balloting history for P2B. I heard SCGS is selective in PV but they cannot control the GRL numbers.

Other sub-groups/committee are not considered and wont be entitled to 2B.

Answer:
Current committee members of the Residents’ Committee (RC), Neighbourhood Committee (NC), Residents’ Network (RN), Citizen’s Consultative Committee (CCC), Community Club Management Committee (CCMC) and the Community Development Council (CDC) are eligible to register their children under Phase 2B.

Realistically speaking, if you are not connected, only the first 3 are available as an option for you.

Do you all think I can still fulfill the 2 yrs EM and apply for the cert to be eligible under phase 2B? The deadline is really tight because of no activities during covid period hence the conversion from observer to EM was delay. Hopefully I’m still on track…

You must be serving as a GRL for at least 2 years by 30 June in the year of registration.
