Think there's some confusion here? They are two different things with two different purposes.
I installed TT app but removed it after I knew that I could use the normal scanner on hp. TT app has option to allow more than 1 person for safe entry? coz I heard from one of the officers say that my scanner cant unlike ??? wor..
I know that it is a proper thing to do .. but when need to pass by few malls..I will just use IC together with kids..when see the malls name in the list, I will just see if that is weekend etc lor anyway not going out often with kids.
TraceTogether app is for proximity info gathering. It uses the bluetooth to connect with other people nearby who also has the TraceTogether app. So that if someone is diagnosed, they can contact those people who were close by to monitor themselves. Now can be replaced by that token so that you dont drain your battery but one more thing to carry with you. It is not mandatory to have TT.
Going into malls is the SafeEntry -> using your handphone or IC to log yourself going into businesses or places. So that if diagnosed with the virus, they can tell the public that infected people have visited XYZ place. SafeEntry is compulsory for entry into certain places/ businesses. -

Hi dear, I use SingPass app to scan the Safe Entry check in. If too many people crowding around the QR Code, SingPass app also allows you to select nearby places from a drop-down list.

Inside SingPass app, I also added my kid’s BC number as one of my family members, then I can choose to check in 2 people at same time (the Safe Entry pass shows 2 pax).
I’m guessing that currently you are just using normal QR scanner to scan the Safe Entry QR check in. That method is troublesome right? Need to key in all your details every single time. And cannot add other people. -

I tried Singpass too but the list of shops is so long ... every shop in the mall appearsMrsKiasu\" post_id=\"1994910\" time=\"1600050112\" user_id=\"43981:Hi dear, I use SingPass app to scan the Safe Entry check in. I think using that QR or NRIC is easier.
And no need to key details in all the time for the QR - just need to check in/ check out.
But yes, can only check in whoever is holding the phone - cannot check in more than 1 person. -
Tip that will change your life:
There is a QR scanner within SingPass app itself. See my blue circled icon at bottom of image. Use that one, that’s the game changer. Up your convenience by 1 million times.

I didn't know that the SingPass app has these features (sorry - mountain tortoise!). I've now discovered the list of places, but somehow the scanner doesn't work for me. The app just closes when I try to open the scanner. Any ideas why?

Hm, sorry I don’t know. Try to update your SingPass app to the latest?
Or under your phone Settings, you may need to allow access for your Camera to send data to SingPass app. -

I've used the scanner before, so I'm sure I've enabled the camera. And one of my daughters has the same issue. And wouldn't the app update automatically?

I just tried! You're right. Better. I tried that SafeEntry part of Singpass earlier and it was practically unusable with the hundreds of shops popping up.

Is yours an Adroid phone? Does the TT app drain the battery fast? That's what I heard. I haven't installed it, and am wondering whether to try to collect the token or download the app.
I find it lehche to carry anything extra. I had installed tracetogether & carrying sth extra just makes it easier to forget to pack into any of my bags. Guess it sounds like my man also don’t like. Makes me more like a man?Estéema\" post_id=\"1994871\" time=\"1600013405\" user_id=\"66413:

Nope. Unless u want an alternative in case u forgot your phone.
Men carry most things in pockets, so an additional item is an issue. I would just leave it in my handbag?[/quote]If placed inside the handbag, do we still need to open up our handbag for security guard to check that we did bring along the token whenever we enter malls?
Now that the TT token is ready, but our community cases has dropped significantly to 0-1 cases per day, i think TT is not that useful at this juncture. I already stopped tracking which malls have been visited by covid patients. -
Another convenient thing about using Singpass for Safe Entry:
You don’t need to scan anything to check out. I hate it when people crowd around the QR code in malls.
In the centre of the SingPass screen, you will be able to see your Safe Entry pass. There’s a tiny button on the right side to click for Checking Out. You can do this even after you have left the building.
