I thought so too. The examiners are there to try to give you the marks rather than to fail you. You have also kept to the topic. It will probably look more like a careless mistake than not understanding the question properly.

Does this mean that those kids who are usually in the 240s, 250s and 260s will probably all find themselves in the 250s range?
I heard someone mention that the t score formula is not as accurate for the bottom and top scores which r dependent on the cohort?

More likely no 280s, fewer 270s and 260s, more at 240-250s, and even more at 200-230s... There is no accurate or inaccurate t score formula, since it is just... a formula? Maybe they are referring to the estimation of t score using prelims grades?

Thanks for explaining. Yes, I was referring to prelims grades. That the middle range say from 200-250 are closer to their prelims estimates than those outside of it.

Oh dear, I think I 离题for my chinese paper 1 :sad: :gloomy:

I had memorised 2 compos which could be used for many different topics and covered a broad range, only to flip open the paper and see the words 自私.

By then, my mind went blank and I resisted the urge to vomit all over my paper. I saw that the 6 pictures were much easier than the 命题 and concluded that more pupils would write about the pictures, hence I decided to try the latter so as to ( hopefully ) gain more marks.

Well, looks I walked straight into my deathbed.

I started writing about a younger brother who was being a brat and annoying his sister ( me ) when she was trying to study for PSLE. I only realised that my plot had already 离题 when I was halfway through. So naturally, I panicked. But then I realised I made another grave mistake :scared: :frustrated:

After completing my compo with 4 minutes to spare, I flipped through the question paper and I saw the words 你从这件事学到了什么。

I realised that I wasn’t the one who learned the lesson and scrambled to change the names. I intended to replace 我 with 小丽 and 弟弟 with 我. But just when I was changing 我 to 小丽, I ran out of time.

The bad thing was I didn’t even manage to make myself present in the story by replacing 弟弟. :stupid:

I’m so worried about my score as a friend of mine had gotten 16/40 when she 离题. Would I suffer the same fate?

Content wise your mark range will fall between https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25131&start=970#p1893302 (i.e. ~8 to 10). If your language and expression is good, there's still chance to score 20+. Don't let this get to you, there are other components that can help boost the overall marks. Have a good and deserved rest!

The train and wagon is OE question and my gal wrote as gravitational force but it seems like its more Frictional force. I am not sure too. 😅

Was the whole Booklet B very hard or just some questions? I’m feeling quite worried now. Thought Science can do well, but turns out maybe not. Sigh.
