Can I ask parents out there the tll @united sq for sec1 science ? I notice that the science curriculum syllabus is split based by different sch.

Why don’t you ask the counter staff or hotline staff to explain to you why? I think most of them are well trained enough to explain this commonly-asked question.

The reason for primary school Science (could be same reason for secondary school, I dunno) - every school teaches the topics in different random order from other schools. MOE does not dictate which order to follow. Hence it’s “beneficial” for the kids of same school to be learning the topics in the same order during their Science tuition class. When it comes time for test revision, mock tests etc, the tutor can revise appropriate topic with them to fit the test.

Despite this, they won’t force you to join the same group as your child’s school. I actually didn’t mind my kid to join other schools’ groups as it was more of enrichment for him - he went there to learn new Science topics for fun (he could catch the concepts quickly), while getting those darn keywords drilled into him earlier.
