Not a high chance, to be honest. But if u dun try, u never know. The 2nd to 6th options are there anyway if your \"dream\" 1st choice doesn't succeed.

Thks. So choices 2-6 safe for our case? Seems like we have a lot more 250+ scorers this year. My DS’ class has at least 4 including him with same score.

What if we put NJC as first choice and eliminate ACSI (IB) which we are 2 pts off, will we stand a better chance?

Putting njc as first choice versus second choice doesn't give u a better chance. Let's say your child is the 1500th ranked student. After posting the 1499th student to a school, the computer will look at ur child's 1st choice. If there's still vacancy, he goes there. If no vacancy, the computer looks at his second choice n makes the posting decision, so on and so forth.[/quote]Ahh I see. Thank you for enlightening.

        My son scored 260+1.

Should I let him try for RI, will he struggle as his score is so near to COP with most other boys doing better than him?

He is eligible to take HCL, does RI offer HCL? If he goes for the IP programme, does this also mean he takes HCL for the first 4 years only?

        Many thanks!

Before you asked, you could have done yourself Na favor by looking at the last 3 to 5 pages. A number of people have shared their / their Rafflesian sons’ experiences with t-score LOWER than the COP.

Frankly, the purpose of the future AL score (not the subject matter of this topic) is to change people’s perception of academic strength. Those with (current) t-score of > 250 will likely be eligible for RI under the new AL scheme.

            Dear Parents,

Hi any estimation of the cutoff of the RI - 259 , ACS-I - 256 can drop from 2019 ?
            Thank you

If we have an idea of whether T score of 260 receives ESIS, we may be able to find out if the COP for the top tier schools will remain the same, increase or decrease this year.

So far, I haven’t heard of many with T score higher than 270. Anyone knows what is the highest T score for this year?

                :congrats:

May I know if your son received ESIS letter? It would be a good way to gauge if this year’s COP in general will be lower or higher than last year’s. Thanks!

If your child qualifies for ESIS, it will be printed on the Eligibility Letter in an envelope given to your child along with the result slip and PSLE Certificate.

i am not sure but i saw someone ask another person if the pupil who got 261 received esis and the response was yes. (i think.) but 261 is like one point away from 260, so maybe a pupil with 260 also got esis. hope this helped a little bit...

2 girls in my school got 270+ and i also remember someone here saying that there was a girl in the son's school who got 282 but i haven't heard of anyone getting higher than 282 hmmm

It would be good if someone could confirm if t-score 260 received the ESIS. Hopefully someone could help confirm this

DD 259+2. Still undecided between St Nicks IP vs MGS IB. We recce schools distances yesterday by taking MRT/buses. St Nicks has a Mayflower MRT opening soon which makes it easier to transfer 2 mrt lines (short distance) and we are staying around vicinity of Lor Chuan/Braddell. MGS also takes 2 mrt lines to get. I am more in favour of St nicks due to closer proximity but DD seems more interested in MGS. To be honest, i think getting to MGS in BT is a hassle should I need to fetch her (car) on some days. Trying not to force a decision on DD but it seems rather logical to choose St nicks. Any thots from anyone?
