So, does it mean that my DD who scored 249, with A in MTL in PSLE will not be accepted by a SAP sch like Nan Chiau. Her first choice is Cedar Olevel and second choice as NanChiau. Third as CHIJ Toa Payoh, Fourth as Anderson. She prefer Nan Chiau than CHIJ TPY and Anderson as we are staying in Seng Kang.

That is just HCL eligibility. Nothing to do with sec 1 posting. Sec 1 posting is based on t score.

Would like to seek for opinion, last yr cutoff point for Hwa zhong was 257. Understand that this school every yr got a lot of pupils get in based on DSA. If based on last yr cutoff point, if same point thus year, what is chance to get in?[/quote]
HCI COP this year might be 258 or 259. Score 257 to get in is a bit difficult this year but you can try.

hello, my brother scored 238+2 +240 and i would like to ask for some advice about:

            1) If we were to risk for Anglican High School (241 last year) as first and put Zhong Hua (236 last yr) as second choice, what are the chances of him getting accepted by Zhonghua if Anglican High rejects him?

2)Does my brother stand a lower chance than those who scored higher than him but put AHS as second or third choice instead of first?

            3) In the situation that Anglican High rejects him, can we still appeal to get into the school?

            4) I would like to ask how the teachers are like in Zhonghua because we just moved to Serangoon and we're not very familiar with the schools here

Thank you for taking time to read and i would appreciate if any of yall are willing to help🙈

Hi, I am deciding the sequence of choice

              - catholic high O level - 1 point below cop

              - nanhua - 2 points above cop

Travelling distance about the same, both are SAP.

              Anyone can share ur view?

Take Catholic High (O-level) better, because
at end of Sec 2 year-end streaming, you still have a second chance to go IP, if u desire.

if your son does well at end of Sec 2 and son is keen in IP, Principal will invite your son to do IP starting Sec 3 IP to join Eunoia JC

This EJC has improved rapidly so fast !

Years ago, when EJC first started off and occupied Mount Sinai temporary premises, not many students want to join IP (CHS / SCGS / St Nick) back then, because many students said \"brand new JC, no track record ...\"

But today Y2020, look what happen ?

              Eunoia JC admission intake -
Is the same for Science & Arts, as the other two : Victoria JC and National JC

              In other words,
As far as L1R5 is concerned,

Eunoia Junior College is on par, with Victoria Junior College & National Junior College, for A-level admission, both (Science & Arts) stream

EJC has done exceedingly well, to come thus far !

              Cut off point (L1R5) for

              a)

Eunoia JC (Science ) = Victoria JC (Science) = National JC (Science), all at 7 points

              b)

EJC (Arts) = VJC (Arts) = NJC (Arts), all at 8 points

In other words, 2 years later, at end of Sec 2 streaming, if u do well and decide to go straight up to A-level, bypass take O level National exam, u still have the last chance to do so.

Anyway, 7 points (Science stream), not easy to get, at O-level. So might as well grab the chance and go , if by then Principal give you the chance to go IP, at end of Sec 2

              If you choose Nan Hua,
if u want this type of opportunity at end of Sec 2, also don't have

              Eunoia JC

              Victoria JC

              National JC

              https://sis.moe.gov.sg/SchoolDetails.aspx?schoolCode=0701

              Hi Phtthp,

If I stay in Jurong, should I choose Nan Hua or CHS o level for the chance of IP in Sec 3? He is from NH PS

Is your son's score 257 (inclusive of HCL)? If so, chance not high (refer HCI's last 5 years COP). But you should still choose it if your son likes HCI.

                2020 - 257
                2019 - 259
                2018 - 258
                2017 - 259
                2016 - 260

All the best and congrats for doing well! :rahrah:

Your Qns 4. You may refer to this forum under \"Zhonghua Secondary School\". There are handful of similar questions.

Hi, my girl’s score is 239, we are looking at TKGS or PLMGS as first choice. Both COP are 237 (plmgs non affiliation). Any advice or comments about the 2 schools? Thanks!
