For parents who are planning for your child's preparation schedule -->

The norm for PSLE Exam dates are:
Oral: Thur, Fri after National Day or Term 3 Wk 8
LC: Fri of Term 4 Wk 1
Written Examination: Begins on Thur of Term 4 Wk 3
PSLE Marking: Mon to Thur of Term 4 Wk 6

        https://i.imgur.com/KKYPhMM.jpg\">

Safe to say the dates on the tentative calendar should be the finalized dates. 218 days to PSLE Oral examination 😉

my boy didn’t take P4 and P5 in Singapore, next week will be joining back to P6 because he was born in 2009. missing two years study and now need to deal with PSLE~~~~~~~~ stress…

For science, to pick up what we missed in P4/P5, is it good enough to utilize the P5 SA2 test papers? anyone know the weight for P4/P5/P6 in PSLE for science exam?

For English and Chinese composition, do we follow certain formats with some requirements on number of words to use, or it’s more like free style to write?

            thank you so much.

Hello, sharing some info on Maths and Science below, FYI only. U may want to attend those free PSLE webinars by various tuition centres held online via Zoom, they are useful for parents to understand what is required for PSLE. U can also join some PSLE support groups in Facebook, there are tutors and parents there happy to answer exam questions that your child cannot figure out.

English and Chinese composition will be according to PSLE format, u can buy the 3-year series from Popular or Open Schoolbag (online shop) to familiarize yourself with the formats.

Can I ask as parents what books for English (PSLE preparation) do you find really helpful and must for the child?

I am home tutoring the child and do not want to overwhelm the child. Thank you.

Past year papers are probably more useful in my view.

Point taken, but I am afraid there is no structure or methodology to use past papers to teach the concepts. I think I have to spend more time in Popular perhaps.

thanks a lot. the kind of summary tables put in the screen shot is very helpful for us. It can quickly give us idea where is the focus and how much effort to put for each part. thinking to look for help from one of these tuitions. Any recommendation? Especially online tuition.

Yes spend more time browsing the options in Popular. Eg there are specialized guide books/assessment books on Situational Writing, Composition writing, Synthesis & Transformation, Cloze Passage...and so on. We don’t know what your child needs most.
