I currently reside in Mountbatten SMC, but desired school is in Bukit Timah (P1 in 2024). If I currently volunteer in the RC/NC at my residence (Mountbatten) and if manage to become EM and serve 2 years, and then in eg: March 2023, move to location within Bukit Timah GRC (with address changed) , I will be able to use the letter to apply to the desired school in Bukit Timah under Phase 2B? Thanks for advice....

Just join the RC/NC at Current TPY residence, serve 2-3 years and meet the min. Then shift house to TP GRC and come registration time will be eligible for TP GRC schools.

Yes , after your address changed, the system will generate the list of schools based on your new address come May 2023 in Grassroots Connect. However, just to make sure, please check with your current NC if you can continue to serve if you shift house, or if you will still be EM in the event you decided to change to another NC.

Hi All, quick check with you. I had been EM 3 years already and will do P1 registered this year. May i know when should I change my address to new GRC, as now NRIC change address become online? After changed address, where to check if system update or not? Shall i contact CM or just wait and submit application on May/June for 2B letter? If i don’t inform address changed to CM, will they reject my application or discontinue my EM?

If I’m not mistaken,
Once you change address at a police station, there will pass you a paper informing you which agencies will auto update from the police’s system. (PA is in that list too)

But to be safe, after 3 days, ask CM to see if he/she can see your newly reflected address.

EM won't be discontinued after change address. It is separate thing. You MUST change address when you move residence.

Sorry a little confused on the details thus far. I’m interested to qualify as an ACL but the amount of abbreviations for different appointments and organizations are bit too much for me to digest…

Since I reside and the targeted school is in Nee Soon GRC, will it be better/faster if I express my interest to volunteer via People Association’s or Nee Soon GRC’s website?
