If only child or you have girls’ only, MGS.
Otherwise, PHPPS. -

If u have all girls mgs, if u have boys and girls phpp. That said u are in a tight spot..

Hi any parents in hougang? Any good primary school other than Holy innocent as back up plan? We are still finding whole unit to rent nearby Holy innocent primary school to give a try under 2C while we are waiting key collection 2yrs later, if happened any of you got units in mind to lease can ctc me too! Thanks!! Haha

I would like to ask all parents to help me make a decision in the coming 2021 primary school intake
Which primary school would you choose
1. Mee Toh School
I am currently their parent volunteer and will most likely be in phase 2b. And although i will be moving place to > 1km , Mee Toh 2B generally is under subscribe , so the chance is high
2. Punggol Green Primary School
I will be moving to within 100m from PGSS but i will join the ballot in Phase 2c which will most likely be super over subscribe
3. Northshore Primary School
Althou this school is >1km , the school is new and under subscribe , so entering at Phase 2C should be a breeze. This school have very good principal and vp profile
Please help me make a sound decision and also help me by stating your reason as well -

You could, technically, apply to all 3 schools (although only the last will be valid) since they occur in different phases.

Phase 2B - MTS. Very likely to be ok even though you are > 1km. Most people will probably stop the process once they secure a place (and probably wise to do so).
PGPS at Phase 2C could be well over 3 applicants to 1 available space. Most people choose the school because they don’t have any other choices (sad, especially those living in Matilda neighborhood). If you are a compulsive gambler or you like to get high from taking risk, you can try. Apart from that, I can’t think of any good reasons to give up a bird in hand for PGPS.
Northshore is probably good for Phase 2CS and given that it’s new, sparsely populated and ulu (I think Pasir Gudang address can qualify for < 2km), it should be easy to get in but unless you live in / around Northshore or Ponggol Seventeeth Ave (or haven’t secure a school by Phase 2C), what’s the point. -
If i am given a space in Phase 2b with Mee Toh , and gotten a school notice that we got in .
Can i than forgo it and go Phase 2c of another school … although its not very sound to do it , i am just checking if it is possible or not ? some thinking ongoing choices -

If you have apply for the school in Phase 2B, and gotten a notice that you are in, then you are in. You can forgo it if you have already applied for it.
If i am given a space in Phase 2b with Mee Toh , and gotten a school notice that we got in .

However, in subsequent phases, such as 2C, if you change your mind, you can withdraw from MTS and re-apply to the school you want. -
Is there a chance for balloting with St Stephens for registration this year??
