As per zac’s mum comment, you just show the TA. Inform school that you are shifting in next month.

Hi parents, newbie here seeking advice.
For our current address (in-law’s place), there is no school less than 1km. Between 1 - 2 km, we have mostly popular schools like Henry Park and Fairfield and one neighborhood school (New Town). While our chances for the popular schools are close to zero, we are not keen on New Town too. Therefore, we are considering other options.
For our BTO flat which we rented out partially, both Henry Park and Fairfield are within 1 km and Pei Tong is between 1 - 2km. I understand that would increase our chances into the popular schools tremendously but we are also afraid that it may draw troubles to the rental.
Another option was the caregiver option. Under my parent’s address, there are Alexandra and Queenstown Primary between 1 - 2 km. These are actually our top choices. We can provide proof of full time employment and my father is not working. Would this be a safe option?
Appreciate your advice, thank you! -

Henry Park, Fairfield and Alexandra Primary confirm ballot for SC <1km. If you do not live within 1km then no chance to ballot.

Queenstown Primary is a relatively popular neighborhood school among the young families around the Dawson/Strathmore area. The balloting in recent years has been for SC >2km (green). Last year exceptionally it was for PRs 1-2km (yellow, dotted). See the tables here:
https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=91621&start=50
If u are confident that your kid can get a confirmed seat at Queenstown Primary no balloting (ie. not a baby boom year like SG50 or SG51) then use your father as caregiver.
The other option would be to kick your tenant out & move back into your BTO to try balloting at HPPS/Fairfield if you really crave GEP school or affiliated school. 2CS school would be Pei Tong. -
Hello parents!
Will be registering my boy for P1 in Phase 2C this year, to enter next year. I understand that we can use the address of our future property (still in construction), as long as we submit the original copy of the Sales and Purchase Agreement (S&PA) stating the Vacant Possession Date (VPD) which is not later than 31 December 2023, and also to commit that we will move into the property within 2 years of his admission to P1.
However, I check the MOE website and it states that these documents must be submitted directly to the school. When should we be submitting this to the school directly - Will it during the Phase 2C registration period, and is there a designated email we should be submitting to, of which I should probably ask the intended school of choice before this 2C registration period?
Any parents had similar experiences with using the address of a new property, appreciate your advice on this.
Thank you! -

You can submit during Phase 2C registration period. Check the school's email online.

Hi, if my child get into a primary school via Phase 2A1 without balloting, can I move house with distance >1km away (even though the home address during registration is <1km)?

Provided that there’s no balloting in the phase.

We are planning to rent a place within 1km from the chosen school and try getting in under Phase 2C. Assuming my child does get admission under the priority distance category, we intend to either rent another property or buy one but all which is still within 1km.
MOE rules state that the child needs to stay at the declared address for at least 30 months. Previously their FAQ had the answer which says as long as still within 1km it’s allowed but now I can’t find it anymore.
Can anyone help? If we move out of the rental unit but move to some place still within 1km during this 30 months, is this allowed?
Logically I thought it should be ok as we are still within 1km so do not break any rules. It’s just a different address all within 1km. But I am not sure now as I can’t find that FAQ anymore.
Thanks -

Yes it’s allowed, as long as same or better distance.
