Wow is science that tough? My dd be starting science next year, not sure what to expect...

Yes science can get tough as u go higher, p3 is still ok but u still need to keep some of the notes/text bks when she gets to p4. U can give ur dd a headstart by sending her for some enrichment classes at the end of the year or even now so she will know wats happening when she get to p3...can be quite interesting for some. Science is a subject that need studying, memorising, researching and exploring, require hands on for better understanding.
I know of some kiasu parents who started kids on science classes since p1..not really necessary... their marks are not that much higher. There are some fun hands on science workshop classes going on, my dd enjoys hands on as this makes science more interesting.

yeah I know what you mean, it feels so odd if our kid doesnt attend any enrichments...

Exactly! Which is why we chose to do PV in RGPS rather than the other schools, more assured that our hours wont be wasted

Quite true, 90 per cent is a conservative number. The school seem to be discouraging the girls frm attending tution classes lately.

Good that you are preparing her for P3 science. For me I'm giving her young scientist to build up her interest in science. So far she seems to enjoy reading it.

Haha yah I sort of freaked out when I realised all my frens with pri sch kids have some form of enrichments but not mine, so quickly signed her up for a couple lol...

Oh dear, only 1+ week more to go before school reopens, sigh...

Mine didn't exactly enjoy Discovery Camp after 2 sessions, so it's Genius R Us cooking programme this June hols :love: instead of lounging at home and at playdates :!:
