Thanks, phtthp.
Your daughter can check this out, herself. At Upper Secondary, your girl is \"big\" enough to find out the needed required information for herself, from within her own school compound.
For a start, Google Cedar Girls website, check for the email address of this Consultant or Teacher in charge, of \"Career Guidance \" opportunities.
If after google, still cannot find any info, next step is, get your Upper Secondary daughter to approach her class Form Teacher directly, find out who is this Teacher in charge of \"Career Guidance\" counsel, and approach from there, herself. In fact, if indeed there are intern opportunities available, this Career Guidance Officer-in-charge is supposed to connect students with the respective organization. That is her (his) role, in the school.
For example
Your daughter can clarify with this \"Career Guidance Teacher in charge or Adviser \",
\" may I inquire, at this point, are there any hospital in Singapore, if any, still open to accepting students for Internship ? If Yes, may I know, which hospital (s) still accept ? \"
School would prefer students to approach the teachers directly, if student need help.
Purpose ?
For students to bear responsibility, of their own self learning, whether learning come in the form of (doing actual academic worksheets, or doing practical individual / group work based projects & assignment , or any external internship opportunities, attend seminar, etc )
School don't like parents to intervene, ask Tr directly for info, especially at Secondary level, because the students are no longer primary school kids anymore. Neither are they in Lower Secondary, anymore. School expect Secondary students to be independent enough, go find out info that they need, by approaching school Teachers directly, themselves, if students don't know.
Will check it out. According to her, all her friends also don't know what to do. :slapshead: -

Hi
For Cedar Girls, can I find out if the social innovation programme is compulsory for all students, or only students admitted through DSA/SI? -
Hi, my daughter is in P6 this year and she is very interested in science. Can I ask if Cedar Girls has any dedicated science/STEM/maths like enrichment classes or talent development program? If so, is it opened to non-DSA students? Do the students get training for Olympiad, or be selected to participate in Olympiads? I tried to check the website but cannot really find anything relevant, so would like to check if anyone already in the school is able to help. Thanks in advance.

In Cedar Girls FAQ website, it is stated in:

Q27. How is Social Innovation integrated into the regular school curriculum?
The Social Innovation Programme at Cedar Girls’ seeks to nurture in our students the value of empathy and the ability to innovate and solve problems with a user-centric approach. Knowledge of Social Innovation and Design Thinking skills are taught during curriculum time. Planning and completion of projects may continue during the students’ own free time. The curriculum is carried out over one semester and it culminates in a group presentation.
