Dear all i need some help here. Mine is a 2015 kid and i m worried what will happen if he doesnt get into ATS. First i m an alumni of ATS but what is balloting is required even for alumni? I am staying within one km of ats so does it means if alumni fail i gets to ballot under SC within one km? But what if i still dont get it? Where do my kid goes?
Don’t worry, Alumni means 2A1 and so far it’s sure in, and you are <1km so sure sure in 🙂

        Hello all,

I stay within 1km from ATS so I’m wondering how the 2C balloting works - will we know beforehand how many people within 1km have registered their interest so that I can gauge my chances?

        Thanks!

At the close of each day, MOE will provide an update on the number of people that have registered. For schools like Ai Tong, you can safely assumed 99.9% of the applicants lived within 1km.

            Thanks Floppy!

Just curious - do they publish the data of 1km, 1-2km and more than 2km anywhere for any school at all? 😛

No. They don’t breakdown the distance of the applicants for you.

Hi all, I am interested to sign up as an alumni with ats. However the form requires the signature of the chairman.

Any idea how to obtain this signature?
How do we make the payment for the alumni fees?

Hi, it is likely that the admin will get the chairman’s signature after your submission. You can pay by cheque (payable to Ai Tong School Alumni Association).

Try calling Ai Tong @ 6552 3291 to confirm the above (as well as other payment modes if you prefer). You can also try emailing them at [email protected]

                  All the best.

Thank you! I tried calling and emailing for 1 week. Didn’t get any replies. Wondering if I should make a trip down instead for the payment.

Riding on your knowledge, any idea on the time frame to get confirmation on being successfully enrolled as an alumni?

The Alumni Association AGM is on 21 March. As with these things, may have a change of chairman and committee members or maybe not. After which, will be about a month before the committee meets. New members acceptance are usually tabled for consideration at their meetings.

In short, if you send in your application form and Cheque today, and is lucky, you will be confirmed by May 2020. Note that MOE guideline is no later than 30 June for enrollment in 2022. If your application is not ready by the meeting, it may be tabled at the next meeting which is like, who knows when. So, got to hurry. You can’t make a trip down as the alumni office may not be opened and the guard is unlikely to let you in.

If you are in a hurry (eg for P1 registration priority), try giving Ai Tong School a call at 6454 7672. The General Office may be able to inform you whether you should make a trip or just mail in the application form with the cheque.

As for the time frame, refer to following Q&A from Ai Tong Alumni FAQ:-

                        Alumni Membership Application & Processing

                        Q
\"We have submitted the application form more than 1 month ago, but till now still have not received any notification from the Association regarding the status of our application.\"

                        A
All qualified applications will have to be verified and approved during the Quarterly Executive Committee Meeting. Once the EXCO has approved the application, a notification will be sent to the alumni.

For the above scenario, the applicant may need to wait up to 3 months if his application form reaches us right after an EXCO Quarterly Meeting.

                        All the best.
