HK is trying to test our Transport Minister's mettle who is earmarked for 4G PM post?! :rotflmao:

      https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/hong-kong-wants-people-leaving-singapore-under-planned-air-travel-bubble-be-vaccinated

Hong Kong’s chief executive Carrie Lam said on Tuesday (April 13) that it is proposing to the Singapore Government that Hong Kong travellers be “fully vaccinated” before they make use of the proposed air travel bubble between the two cities.
Mrs Lam said at a media briefing in Hong Kong: “It's actually enhanced safety, but (the Singapore Government) will not impose such a requirement on travellers from Hong Kong within this air travel bubble.

So you mean we won't impose on such a requirement on travellers from HK?

Hmm, somehow I get the feeling they are making things difficult for us to rebound as an aviation hub... So far, HK has only completed 800K doses, and those are mainly the elderly and frontliners. So we probably need to wait for some time before the fully vaccinated HKrs can be granted permission by their HK govt to visit Singapore. And as for us, we haven't covered all 45-59 yet, so the fully vaccinated Singaporeans who are eligible to visit HK are not high.

I think they should just burst the bubble once and for all. Bubble means no need to be vaccinated or quarantined.

HKIA's ban on SIA would end on 16 April.

The HK vaccinated requirement only applies to HKers coming to Singapore under the green lane. It does not require Singaporean to be vaccinated to visit HK under the green lane.

I went for my first jab yesterday evening. There are so many booths so there were no queue at all. It was a very smooth process. I was given a bottle of water while waiting for 30 minutes after the vaccination. At the exit door, I was given 500ml hand sanitizer and 10pcs of masks. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!
