Also, with the new AL scoring system, you will not know which school holds the top PSLE student, even for last year T-score cohort. The previous year, according to the sec school selection guideline book, the top scorer is a girl in RGS, the next one is also a girl in NYGH.

Some parents have shared that the GEP intake is about 400 in recent years (down from 500 previously).
Just a guide, my DD entered NYGH via last year PSLE, there is 12 classes in secondary 1. I understand from her that 4 of these classes are for GEP students with slightly smaller class size (range from 25 to 30), versus the normal 8 IP classes (about 35 or 36 students). The whole cohort is about ~380, but 100+ are GEP students through DSA. There are also many others DSA through sports etc and affiliation through NYPS, so maybe less than 200 through PSLE results. Hwa Chong (boy school) also the same. I believe it is the same as in RGS and RI. Almost all GEP students went into these 4 schools. Every GEP cohort is about 500 students. So there will be 500 less places from these 4 top schools. In NYGH, they called these classes SBGE classes.
Besides the 4 schools you mentioned, quite a lot will choose NUS High and ACSI.
Many IP schools admit 30% to 35% of IP intake via DSA (used to be 50% a few years ago). So I think the number of GEP students who enter Secondary using PSLE Score is high. -

Changes to Secondary 1 (S1) Posting in 2021
With the new PSLE scoring system, more students will have the same PSLE score, and schools will be less differentiated based on cut-off points.
Choice order will be introduced as a tie-breaker to recognise the different considerations that families have in making school choices.
S1 Posting Tie-Breakers (in order of priority)
Citizenship (priority given to Singapore Citizens, followed by Permanent Residents and International Students)
Choice order of schools [NEW]
Computerised balloting

Kids in P6 this year. My first PSLE children. Appreciate advice from experienced parents.
Boot Camps in June, which subject to go for? Weaker or stronger subjects?
Any good places to consider? -

Ya I’m receiving all those ads for June holiday crash courses...hard to plan unless already know the supp class schedule from school.
I’m looking at the M.A.P. (Marks Accelerator Program) by Blue Tree (maths & science), but some of the topics not yet covered in school...wonder how effective that would be for my kid (P5).
If anyone has tried them before for P5/P6, can provide review here pls? -
