Me Time!

Done already. Reward dd with McD while waiting for sister. Watched few hours of tv while I napped. About bedtime time she took out the puzzle book and doing it. Never do this kind of things before haha.
Need to try ask her do some work everyday since (hopefully) momentum still there. They starting check/marking some papers I heard. This round after nagging she is abit better…not as if the exam is not hers. -
Some subject teachers finished marking already, but still waiting for their colleagues to finish then can return the papers to the kids. I’m quite nervous to see whether our new 作文 strategy worked (memorize chunks of good phrases orally) - already 2 weekends passed but still no news…I guess need 2nd marker & if got discrepancy need discussion?

Math sometimes will swing based on which topic tested I think. Eg DS found it hard to grasp the Fractions problem sums, both P4 and P5 Term 1. But surprisingly in P5 Term 2 got some topics like Ratio problem sums & 3D cubes drawing + volume, he finds it very easy.

I never identify which topics weak. Some that she doesn't know or did wrongly, I will explain to her..some qns when I started drawing the model then she could see something from it and she took it over and continue. Some really dunno due to lack of practice. Some due to mistakes, redo can get it correct. Got scolding from me coz almost missed a chapter which was a P3 topic, she did it wrong and I (and dd) thought haven't teach.

Funny there is something I noticed…think those more than 1 kid will likely be same too. While doing the modelling, I was quite amazed that I m now much better than dd1’s time lol…

I’m looking at pre-order for Teacher’s Day presents…last year we gave fabric face masks customized with their names…this year new batch of teachers, I guess can order same thing? I don’t foresee September suddenly don’t need to wear masks right…sad lah this situation ongoing for so long… -
Just read a letter inviting us to apply for Edu Merit Award…with presentation ceremony date. Need to apply?? CC opening at 10am, will call later. Letter dated end Apr. Looks like merit award but wny so late.
