Just read a letter inviting us to apply for Edu Merit Award..with presentation ceremony date. Need to apply?? CC opening at 10am, will call later. Letter dated end Apr. Looks like merit award but wny so late.
Some of the constituents were quite late, ours too was only held early this month. The weekend before May Day. The registration letter is just right clarify and confirm that she is not receiving other awards, we filled it out and handed it to the admin lady before photo taking.

      Congratulations!

Today DS said the Math teacher told one boy, if he doesn’t work harder on his multiplication (couldn’t answer mental calculation of how to make denominator of 1/4 and 3/7 the same) - then next year P6 he will have to go to another class.

Qn: they are already in MA class. As far as I know there’s no P5 Foundation form class in the school. So does that mean P6 will have Foundation form class? Asking whether it’s the norm for most schools. Or is Foundation subjects usually on a SBB basis, ie. the kids will move around to different classrooms?[/quote]
We have had weaker kids move to another class before. However from the tone of it, the teacher seems like he is trying to “scare” the boy into working harder.

I was overly confident last night…went to ntuc after 8pm to buy chicken and coconut milk…empty shelves. Luckily can find coconut milk at CS though no more chicken too. Nasi lemak with fish and frozen food instead.

Yes sounds like it. The teacher did mention he might have to take Foundation Maths. The kid didn’t really grasp the implications. DS said he did try to help explaining how to do some problem sums but the boy’s eyes were drifting off into dreamland. I really wonder do some kids get enough sleep, many of them simply put their heads down on the table and sleep thru the lessons. Or show up 1 hour late in the mornings. When they are called upon to answer, totally blur.

The ntuc in Hillion Mall is well stocked. I bought the usual stuff to last for the rest of the week. Both dh and dd will be at home for the whole week. I will need to cook more often.

Actually safer to mail.. since lots of kids are affected these days. This strain seem to be affecting kids more.

😂 I simply dont understand why need to stock up toilet rolls. This would be the last thing in my mind. My priority would be rice, food items,...
