Wah, FTWMs u need to WFH and still need to cook for the family?? :udawoman:

I just plan to arrow DH to go out and da bao, lazy. Stocked up on some frozen meals as backup. Or Grab delivery.[/quote]
There's different levels of \"cook\" - I had a compromise with my family during CB which we will go back to. I will \"cook\" 3-4 lunches a week and one of them will dabao the other days. But my \"cook\" means easy stuff - jiaozi and instant noodles, breads with oven-baked frozen meats or tuna or whatever, \"breakfast\" of fried eggs and luncheon meat, fried beehoon, reheated leftovers, etc. We just get tired of the stuff nearby, and we aren't the ordering in type.

I will cook all the dinners, but again, my standard is 1 dish + rice. A much lower standard than most families!

When I went to ntuc cashier to make payment…I told her aiyo chicken/coconut milk dont have le…and she told me yesterday was crowded…and we both agree no need buy so much. But to be fair to go to a smaller ntuc after 8pm to look for fresh chicken I think it is my mistake la. Fruits/veg mostly ok.

Cooking simple meals dont need alot of time. What's more we cooking for usually 2 meals at one go. I tried ordering from online then walk out self collect..more time consuming eventho I take walking as a form of exercise ie do 2 things at one go.

😂 I simply dont understand why need to stock up toilet rolls. This would be the last thing in my mind. My priority would be rice, food items,...
I guess it depends on how many you have left! If I were down to the last one, then I would probably put that as a high priority! But I tend to replenish before we get to that level. I usually have a reasonable stock of non-perishable, frozen and canned foods, enough for a few meals at least, but fruit and veg have to be bought every few days. So the announcement on Friday caught me short as that's my usual shopping day. Luckily I got to the supermarket before the crowds. I didn't see many people buying toilet paper, but I saw a lady with 3 packs of box tissue - 15 boxes. Not sure why she needed so many!

I think once we are past the first couple of days, things will get back to normal in the supermarkets. There's just a lot of people who need to buy more food because of the WFH.

Think they restock quite often now. Thanks for sharing though!

Finally did our weekly grocery. No long Q. It was a breeze with full trolley load. Saw the NTUC staff replenishing toilet paper rolls & fruits/veggies. We did buy more cheeses & butter for baking at home though. 😄

I was surprised helper stayed home today. She said no classes nor church, so stay home & do online service. Reminded hubby to pay helper for her initiative to stay home.

Today more relax to finish up repotting my plants with new collection of Hoya plants.

yes, go during odd hours help. Just now, I wasnt too glad with an old man following too close to me during the checking out. Next time if I encounter such a situation, I will sum up some courage to voice my concern

I feel so relieved on the HBL. Has been reading news over the weekend and feeling so stressful.
