Hopefully this year will be back to normal
RGPS still have much better chance for <1km. Last year was exceptional for balloting <1km. Usually sure in.Whenpigfly\" post_id=\"2027502\" time=\"1624025453\" user_id=\"188170:
Hi,
I just refer to the probability chart for this year. Realise for RGPS, it was highlighted red under phase 2C where past years usually it is not under red. Was there any reason for raising it to red this year?
And may I seek for advise, if base on the vacancy announced recently and being MGS and RGPS both in red under phase 2C. Which school stand a better for phase 2C under 1km this year?
In actual fact, we prefer MGS. However, base on past years statistics we decided to go for RGPS. But if observing this year probability it seem no different. So like to seek for some advise before we firm up our choice. -

Is St Andrews Junior School (SAJS) a safe bet for Phase 2B, 1-2km for this year? I read that there were no PVs for this year’s registration which should increase my odds, is this true? Getting nervoussss

Hi,
May I check if in the event that we fail balloting of phase 2C, phase 2CS (basically fail all), will the government definitely allocate us to the nearest school with available distance or will there be a chance of being allocated to somewhere further (above 2km)?
Can we still reject the choice and apply internally to other available schools? -

They will allocate you to a school that still has vacancies left. Usually it will either be near you, or within the same planning zone. It’s definitely possible to be >2km if there are no such vacancies nearer.

You can’t reject the choice. It is allocated to you. Just attend school from January (at least it’s a confirmed place for the child) while you waitlist elsewhere. -
Ai Tong School
Available vacancies in Phase 2B: 20
Number of applicants:38
Balloting: Yes
Balloting will be conducted for Singapore Citizen children residing within 1km of the school. If your application is unsuccessful, you can register again in your next eligible phase.
Can I ask a silly question does that mean all 38 are SC applied < 1km? Or does that include EVERY applicant?
Secondly, if 38 includes EVERY applicant, and if 24 are SC < 1km, only 24 will be asked to ballot correct? -

If 24 sc within 1km all will go in, ballet for 1-2km or 2km (depends on how many living 1-2km) -

If there are only 24 SCs < 1 km, only these 24 will go through balloting.
