Hi, hopefully someone will reply me. I’m a parent of a P6 girl and I am thinking of TJC based on distance and the enrichment programs it offers like the talent development program and the talent academy, so will be looking at DSA-ing through academics. I’m just wondering what the stress level is like. I read that TJC is quite chill and very relaxing, but my girl is not the very self-motivated type so I’m looking for a school that is competitive (but not those cut throat competitive kind like the top H or R kinds) so that at least she will be spurred on by the environment to study harder. Is there such a competitive environment in TJC? Do the teachers push the students to stretch their potential or just let them develop within their comfort zone? For those in TDP and Talent Academy, how do you find it?

One thing to note, TJC will relocate to the address below for 3 years. I think this is the old Tampines JC site and it is close to a DTL station. However, depending on exactly where you are living it may be more/less convenient (distance wise) vs. the current site.

The school will relocate to 2 Tampines Avenue 9, Singapore 529564, from January 2023 to December 2025 (tentative), as the current campus will be undergoing upgrading.

Hi, can someone help shed light on DSA Math questions? Is it just challenging P6 questions, or need some basic Olympiad training? Child has not participated in Math competitions, but received notification that he is selected for the test. Thanks very much!

For those who have received email from TJC, did you hear anything after acknowledging their email. Also, can I check if they have anything uploaded in the Google classroom for which we have been given an ID. Thank you.

My daughter received a confirm date time slip for the emeeting from her school teacher, that’s all. No update in the Google classroom.

Thank you. We got the update yesterday that the written test for science domain will be on 15th July

There will be a two-year delay to TJC’s College Rejuvenation Programme.


The newly re-built campus at Bedok will be ready from Jan 2028. TJC will shift to the former TPJC holding site in Jan 2024 and be there for 4 years until Dec 2027.
