All About Active Community Leaders

Hi, checking with the seniors here. At what point do we produce the letter of eligibility to the school? Do we need to upload it into the system during registration or sending it to the school after registration.
Thanks -
hi guys! new to the forum. just like to find out if there is a quota for community leaders. i’m registering my daughter under phase 2b as a parent volunteer. school has 33 spots for this phase and there are 20 parent volunteers (not sure if all will apply). so just wondering if we may end up having to ballot if loads of community leaders gonna be applying. got to start considering other options if can’t get in under this phase.

The key thing is what is your home-school distance? If <1km you are quite safe. If >2km or 1-2km and just 14 GRLs apply, then you may need to go for balloting.
U can prepare a 2C school just in case. Likely you have no other options under 2B anyway. -

thanks for the info! we live within 1km from the school. you mean within this phase, there is also priority to people within 1km? we do have a backup option, but it is a girl school and we much prefer to send her to a mix school!nydeidith\" post_id=\"2031396\" time=\"1626929692\" user_id=\"193972:

P1 Register in 2023 meaning you need to serve at least 2 years by Jun 2023 which means you need to be appointed as member by jun 2021. Now its July 2021 so may be a bit too late for this route.[/quote]I’m a member since 2018, but not at Tampines GRC. So I’m wondering what should my next step be if my bto is coming next year and my child registration the following year. Should I wait till I move, then I transfer to Tampines GRC?
Thanks!Q_Queen\" post_id=\"2031332\" time=\"1626881259\" user_id=\"171381:

My child will be registering for Primary school in 2023, our bto in tampines is ready only next year and we will move there.
Any advise on how should I join the GRC in Tampines? Will they accept me as I’m currently not living in Tampines… -

Thanks for the info! i guess we are quite safe then! pretty sure within the parents volunteers and community leaders leaders not all of them will be living within 1km!
The take up until 2A this year is highest recorded so far.
There were only once balloting needed 1-2km since 2007.
Past 3 years applicants around 20-24 per year in 2B.
Given that you stay within 1km, should be fairly safe.
Hope it helps
