Like I said, 88% my foot. And 69% my foot.

Should just concentrate on the 90 something plus against serious infection.
The messenger has already degraded 48hrs after each of your 2 doses, and the jabs are FOC, why do you 耿耿于怀 for so long? You're feeling cheated? OYK has already said we can switch to another brand after next CNY when we're due for booster shots. You can switch to Sinovac or Novavax next year.

If there are so many pp like you who continue to 叽叽歪歪 唱衰, then more elderly will listen to you pp and won't jab, and all the vaccinated pp will have to accompany the unvaccinated indefinitely!

Just leave the evangelism to the ground workers and let them do the door-to-door talk. Don't add salt and pepper at the kopitiam.

Those charts are pretty useless. 没有重点. What is the message MOH wants to tell and is the message coming across strongly?

So 2 non-vaccinated folks above 70yo required ICUs. I can speculate that the 2 are cancer patients thus their immune systems are weak, doctors have certified they are not suitable for vaccination. Every aunty/uncle at the kopitiam can spin their own stories. If MOH really want to tell a story, then MOH focus on a few parameters that can carry the points across to convince the old folks to go vaccinate.

        https://postimg.cc/6TNz3sCp

Look at the above chart. 一片绿油油! If one is non-vaccinated, see already also not worried, how to have the motivation to get vaccinated? Hubby says MOH chart is focused on the wrong thing, should focus on the severe cases which only involve the partially vaccinated and non vaccinated. Worse still, based on the chart, given that the fully vaccinated positive cases outnumber the partially and non vaccinated ones, it may give rise to the wrong interpretations that being fully vaccinated makes one more susceptible or that vaccination doesn’t work at all.

I've felt this about the MOH data for the past months, especially as the data is more complex now - by vaccination status, with a partially vaccinated population, etc. They should get MCI to help present the info - presumably (maybe I'm wrong) MCI will have people more able to present a clear message?

if govt wants to convince seniors to be vaccinated, then just harp on how many unvaccinated seniors in ICU etc when infected. At times, we need to use scare technique to move pple.

Ok lor. Just let MOH or MTF continue with their BS. After all, things are going along swimmingly at the moment. There are only 2 people in ICU. It's not as though we had any big clusters recently or are back in HA P2.

We can always wait till CNY next year to hit 90% of seniors vaccinated.

                No problem.

Oh I see. This must be the reason why young males are advised to monitor and refrain from strenuous exercise for one whole week after each dose.

I think we have enough practitioners of the 头痛医头脚痛医脚 school of medicine in our committee of experts and MTF. They don't need cheerleaders.

Total lack of imagination and unable to see things out of the box. No wonder every time something happens they say \"hindsight\".

Do you know that children and adolescents with clinical depression or anxiety disorder do not qualify for the Pfizer vaccine until their condition is assessed to be \"under control\", whatever that means? Nobody even wants to touch this.

So the solution is to ostracize or exclude these youngsters from social interaction? Because the rest of us being able to dine at restaurants is more important. I suppose we can always say our schools need more help dealing with students' mental issues when some other incident happen. 20/20 hindsight, right?

Nevermind. We can always wait until CNY next year.

I'll hate to be an alarmist but it seems more schools are affected this time round..

                      https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/covid-19-chij-secondary-toa-payoh-moves-home-based-learning-after-student-tests-positive

Covid-19: CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh) moves to home-based learning after student tests positive

It’s simply a reflection of the general community cases. One adult family member catches it, then spreads it to the kids.

This has been happening ever since the whole Covid thingy started. In several schools all over SG too.

Regarding Jurong Fishery Port, Actually the people there were vaccinated very early on right? Can I say the 破口 is the absence of fortnightly swabbing? The JFP folks have regular contact with Indonesian/Malaysian fish boats, there should be periodic swabbing just like Changi Airport. Which Ministry is in charge of JFP?

Govt vaccinate the workers at JFP but pops a non-vaccinated Vietbu stall assistant who in her part-time is also a butterfly at many KTVs. Will you accept a non-vaccinated part-time foreigner on STSV pass working inside Changi Airport high risk zone. Why no spot checks at JFP?

Next, for the hawker centres and wet markets. We just had the Bukit Merah View cluster cases but a month later, other hawker centres and wet markets develop their clusters again. NEA should have done preventive works earlier mah. Hope NEA can study and improve the conditions like installing more fans to lower the instinctive action of these hawkers to pull off their masks during the hot afternoons? Again which Ministry is incharge of hawker centres/wet markets?
