But yes; like MKS mentioned, we have good bonding at home now. I find it very enjoyable to hear his thoughts getting more like secondary school kid. Lots of chances for spontaneous mature discussions about all aspects of life (birds & bees included). Current affairs too since we watch Chinese news together. Best is watching Chinese worship session together & he picks up so many new words like that.
Me too..really miss esp my elder kid's younger time. I still feel they are 2 different person. Grown up too fast! Do most parents have same wish of able to turn back time and live again? I have though it is impossible and a silly thought.

I do share with them like telling them not to be too quick to fall in love etc..

Now fats not to chubby cheecks? To stomach arh..my nephew same, round tummy cute la at this age.
Not sure about \"most\" parents, but I prefer my kids older than younger. Under 10 or so, they are just too young to talk to properly, and they are too dependent. I enjoyed being able to talk to them more as they reached their teens, and really liked watching them grow up. Of course, disciplining and coaching them was hard work too, but rewarding. Now that they are young adults, we parents act more as mentors, but we are friends too. I don't want the clock turned back!

Now that my own thoughts/emotions are more settled… I find actually it was never their issues but mine. Maybe that’s why I have this wish…maybe I think I can be a better person to them? I think probably I dont discipline them as much and have lower expectation so like so much easier…or is it I had forgotten those tough times in bringing up a child! Anyways now many times I m less serious than my elder kid…and she will say hey, mommy…
We been eating mala suanla these 2 days. Earlier I ate fried sweet potato balls just after frying so had my ulcers for few days.

Oh yes, some just throw bottles down without bag. So usually I will just prepare the rubbish bag, quickly open chute, throw and close. Need to hold my breath everytime open so got to be fast.

Why need to hold your breath? :scratchhead:

Coz know that chut area must be very dirty.
I see. I never thought of that because we never smell anything from the chute except on the times we happened to open the chute while the cleaner opened the door on the 1st floor to collect the rubbish bin (the air rushed up).

What do you mean by normal? If it's like Jan 2020 (no restrictions at all), I doubt we are going to get there anytime soon. I'll be happy to have a higher limit for visitors to homes and dining-in at restaurants (10 at least?), a reasonable hybrid work limit (at least 75% by headcount?), and more relaxation for schools, places of worship and other activities in general. The unvaccinated may need to take greater precautions, and allowance can be made for them in some way. I'm prepared to have to wear a mask for months more if necessary - I think we've got used enough to that to bear it for a while longer as long as we aren't stuck at home and having to work by Zoom/WA, or have fractional family gatherings!

Travel would be great, but a lot depends on other countries, so I'm not adding that to my immediate wishlist. We gave up on attending my daughter's graduation overseas which was the thing that I really wanted to travel for, and I can live without travelling for a while more. In any case, no guests are allowed for the graduation, so it wouldn't have been possible to attend anyway.

I know wearing a mask, taking swab test, checking in/out etc would be part of our new norm.
I wish to return to the days when we can go anywhere we like.

Each year I would go for a 2 wk overseas trip and my last trip was in 2019 to NZ SI. I want to travel when my health permits. The coronavirus has stopped the world from moving for close to 2 years and we are stil not out of the woods.

DS voluntarily kept his laptop & iPad on Friday evening. This weekend has been very a pleasant detox from gaming. Waking up before sunrise again. Just chillin together & looking forward to going back to school.
