I would say both.

There is no 'live' dashboard that the school can see. Any info is probably a couple of minutes, or even hours old. If there are multiple updates or applications going on, the school won't know and can't tell. Given the ease of withdrawal / enrolment, people can change their mind any time (like now?). You aren't truly safe / or the data is truly known until the last couple of minutes.

There is also no way the other person on the other side can give you a data without first being able to preview it. There won't be many people who have access to something this important. If logging in, retrieving data and previewing data is going to be entrusted to the random person who picks up the general line, I really don't know what to say.

Oh u mean the school? Any reasonable person will know it’s info based on availability. A poster replied it’s likened to stock market. Any reasonable person will understand. Of cos not everyone is reasonable but should be a minority. Good suggestion they should have a live dashboard. But I hope this is the last time I’m doing 2c

Can try Tom I guess. Given the kind of officious response and fact that moe is not publishing information today I’m not hopeful. Actually I just feel tired. Not sure who came up with this idea. Don’t think anybody complained about the old system. They should either maintain or improve. This seems like a step backwards. Automation makes sense. Lack of transparency and waiting 2 weeks doesn’t.

Yes. They did not know the numbers before closing time as they were fluid not static. But AFTER closing time, apparently they can view the final numbers & distances in their system. And they told the parents who called.

So do try calling again tomorrow. The schools are open half day for National Day celebration. Until 10am or so.
